Best prime rib ever! I will go back for more meats. Very close to home. I’m glad it was good

We have been going to Halls for about 3 years now. I have only positive things to say about Halls. Their customer service is 2^nd to non, always cheerful, and provide service with a smile, not to mention whenever my wife leaves there she is smiling too because they have welcomed her by name as soon as she walks in the door. The meat has always been fresh and full of flavor, we only buy our meat from halls. We go to Halls about once every 2 weeks. There is another butcher in the area, but Halls remembers who you are, and just makes you feel good.

I have been a customer of theirs for over 5 years & every couple months placed an order for a 40 lb. case of chicken backs (I fed them to my dog as part of a raw diet). The order would usually come in within a week or so & the store always called me when they came in so I could pick them up. There were a couple screw ups on their part in the past when they forgot to place the order or when they gave me necks instead of backs, but those issues weren’t the reason I’ve decided NOT to do business with them ever again. Recently I placed my usual order with them & when I asked when I might expect them, they informed me probably Friday of that week. They’ve always called in the past when the order came in & I didn’t hear from them that Friday so I assumed they weren’t in. The next day around 11am I got a message on my voicemail while I was at work saying they were in. I showed up when I got off work about 4:45 & they informed me that they’d sold my order to someone else because one of the owners «didn’t want them sitting around». That was infuriating considering I’d come in to pick up the order the same day they called me to say it was in. And on top of that, the woman behind the counter was not only unapologetic, but downright rude. That’s the way they treat longstanding customers & I’ll never set foot in there again. Not only have they lost a customer, but I’ll make sure to tell all my friends what horrible treatment I received!
