Mellow Mushroom

We came on a Saturday night around 8:00pm. Food was amazing! I had the chicken calzone and he had the red potato pizza. We also had the Greek salad for our appetizer. The place was full of kids when we first came in. We sat by the bar and our bartender was also very nice. They also have Abita beer!
Would come more often if it wasn’t so far from our house.

First time eating here since it opened. We ate outside since it was a nice evening. My friend and I both had different types of pizza and an appetizer.
I had heard mixed reviews but we both thought it was great. Our waitress was attentive as well so overall, the service and food were excellent.

Stopped by for lunch. The capri app is always good. We ordered a gluten free pizza crust with half Bleu bayou and half house special. We’d had the house special and enjoyed it before. We enjoyed that half of the pizza today too. The problem was with the blue bayou part. Honestly this might b our fault so we didn’t complain. The shrimp was hard and over cooked. I’m thinking maybe because gluten crust cooks longer. Might b the bomb in a regular crust. Our server was not rude or anything but she wasn’t present much. Didn’t get the feeling she really cared. imagine that lol

Well I was a little nervous about trying this place after some of the reviews I was reading. We came on a Friday night around 6:30pm. The place was crowded, but we only had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. Not too bad at all! We tried the pretzels with butter and Parmesan cheese for an appetizer. They were a big hit with our table!
We ordered a Maui Wowie and a Mighty Meat pizza, as well as a small cheese pizza for my son since he doesn’t like any toppings. The Maui Wowie was like a kicked up Hawaiin pizza. Very good! The Mighty Meat was excellent as well, and it had some of the best bacon I’ve ever tasted on a pizza. Thick, crispy, and high quality. My son also asked for a second slice of his cheese pizza, which he NEVER does, so that means the pizza had to be really good to him.
My son also absolutely loved the huge Captain America shields lining the one wall, as well as the full sized statue outside of Rodney the robot from the movie, «Robots.»
Very quirky yet cool theming, and great pizza! We will be back!

Service was excellent. The food was excellent. My main issue with today’s visit: an idiot for a manager. You already had three TV sets for the main dining room clearly visible for all of the diners on NBC (showing the hockey game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the New York Rangers). My table was positioned perfectly in front of one of the only two TVs not showing Hockey (the SEC basketball tournament final between Texas A&M and Kentucky is playing). Because some patron requested to change this set as well to hockey, you oblige without taking any consideration of the folks remotely interested in basketball.
I asked my waitress «what happened to the basketball game?» and this manager was too spineless to come and offer me an explanation in person. Is it because you put the needs of another patron who arrived afterwards? I know, because I wasn’t the only person watching this screen. I was the only one to raise an objection. Heck, I’m not a Wildcat or Aggie fan, but you dropped the ball when it comes to customer relations. And saying «I’ll switch it back to basketball after that other table leaves» isn’t a good answer. I was almost done with my lunch. Why didn’t you make the other table wait until after I left? Needless to say, I got the puck out of there in a hurry.
You are being put in the penalty box for this offense.

Customer service, in my own personal opinion is huge, if you are dining out. First of all, my family and I had to wait for the greeter to quit flirting so he could come seat us. Secondly, the server was not great at her job. We could overhear her talking about how much she spent on groceries. Not cool.
Lastly, she waited UNTIL I PAID THE CHECK TO REFILL OUR DRINKS. They have terrible customer service. I will never be back.

Another boring Friday night… home alone. Ha! I actually don’t feel to well. I scored a $ 30 gift card from my little sis Kim and on 2÷26÷16 I ordered my all time fave «holy shitake» 10″ pizza to go. Yum yum goodness as usual — I shared with my little brother and he said it was just ok (haters gonna hate) LOL! I’m glad I didn’t come in my pajamas like I wanted to — a coworker spotted me as soon as I walked in.

You know a place is good when they stay busy every day every week! The first time my girlfriend and I tried this place is was a Friday night close to 6 or 7 and they were packed! There was a wait but it wasn’t to long, less then 20 minutes. Though we discovered that they have outside seating so we sat out there without a wait. The outside has heaters above the tables to keep you plenty warm on chilly nights! We ordered an app of bruschetta and had a large philosophers pie. They we both amazing! The food goes great with beer if you’re into that! They have lots of beers at their bar.

We have always loved Mellow Mushroom in other locations but have been extremely disappointed in the Olive Branch location. Wait times to get seated are always long. We have been to this location 5 times since it opened and have not had a good experience yet. Poor service. Very little attention paid to customers who are waiting for food. I’m hoping this new location is just figuring things out. It’s in a great location and the food is always great.

Recently visited and was very disappointed. Was seated quickly but pizza took over 40 minutes to arrive at the table. Ordered the Holy Shitake pizza, which is what I have always ordered at other Mellow Mushroom restaurants and the pizza only had about three mushrooms total and one or two caramalized onions, only cheese. Spoke to manager who brought a small container of of caramalized onions to add to our pizza. No mushrooms and no discount on our meal. The highlight of our meal was our server who was very nice and apologetic.

I visited during opening week and sat at the bar. This place really hit all cylinders for me. Food was great, they have an AMAZING selection of beers. I was in absolute heaven!
The bartenders were friendly, they had some great televisions to watch. The design inside is very unique and well done. I was in absolute awe of the granite they picked for the bar; and I’ve seen a ton of granite!
I understand they make everything fresh, literally, so waits are to be expected. Unfortunately I was told that ordering a calzone would be faster than a pizza, turned out it took just as long. I was just bummed because I would have preferred to just order a pizza. But it was opening week so I am good to give some grace.
Will absolutely be going back. I don’t hand out five star reviews often.

Why have a patio if you aren’t going to utilize it?
This is our second visit here and we have yet to be seated so this review is purely on customer service and poor management.
On our first visit the place was about half full and we were told there would be at least an hour wait so we left. This evening with it being a perfect day to eat on the patio we drove by and only saw two tables on the patio taken so we thought this would be the perfect time to finally give Mellow Mushrooms Olive Branch location a try.
We were greeted as soon as we walked in but when we asked to be seated outside on the patio we were rudely told they only had one server assigned to the patio and they couldn’t handle any more tables. REALLY! The server can only handle two tables on the patio? With it being such a beautiful day wouldn’t the manager schedule more than one server to cover an asset like the patio they evidently spent a lot of money on to attract customers?! It would be different if the place was packed inside but they weren’t even half full. Management can’t redirect some of the staff to cover the patio?
I was really excited to see this place being built since we could almost walk there it’s so close to home but I refuse to spend my hard earned money at an establishment that doesn’t train their staff to respect and take care of their customers.
Once again, why have a patio if you aren’t going to utilize it!!!

I was excited to try this new location in OB. It wasn’t too crowded when we dropped in at 7PM. The décor was very eye catching and colorful. I loved the large Captain America logos on the front wall. My sister and I ordered a small pizza and a small order of pretzels. Our friend ordered a calzone. The pretzels took a little bit to come out, our pizzas came out awhile after. Our server apologized and stated that it would take a little bit longer for the calzone. The wait time was such an issue that they said they would take it off our bill. My sister and I were done with our pizzas when the calzone came out. Pizzas looked and tasted great. Overall, asides from the fact that our server could of been a little more attentive (i.e. Drink refills), good dining experience.

Great service, super friendly and doing a great job.
Got the pretzels with beer cheese, wonderful fresh cooked pretzels and beer cheese. We had a party of four and each ordered a different style pizza so we each got to try four kinds the winner to our surprise was the red potato. The crust is awesome. The restaurant is welcoming and designed great. We ate out on the patio which was so pleasant. Can’t wait to go back and get dessert Mary Jane Brownie.
Will be going back ver uhh soon.

The pizza is perfect and the service is phenomenal– Charlie is the best we’ve had anywhere in a long time!
On our first visit we had a huge party and had just as much attention as we’ve had tonight with just our kids! The bar tenders wowed us on our last visit!
Seriously, as a family restaurant this is unbeatable. The kids’ food comes out just after the appetizer– yet when we sat in the bar we forgot the families existed.
The jerk chicken hoagie is my new favorite! The adult root beer float is a must try!

We came here for the first time ever, and it was pretty great! The service was quick and nice. We got our food at decent amount of time as well. Definitely coming back!
The boyfriend got a bbq pizza without onions and he loveddd it. (Medium sized)
I got some sort of white pizza that had tomatoes on it. It was very yummy. (Small sized)
They give you a lot of toppings so 2 slices filled me up. ^^

A lazy Sunday afternoon after church we thought we’d try out the new mellow mushroom in Olive Branch. What a pleasant surprise! It was awesome — and very crowded — always a good sign. And before I forget, the server Anthony was awesome. Great guy. The décor in the restaurant is very cool. Great design and a great place for families.
Anyway, we got a house calzone and a small pizza. I was pleasantly surprised that the pizza wasn’t just a glob of packaged cheese and you could actually taste the fresh tomatoes. Plus the veggies on the pizza were plentiful. The calzone? Awesome! It was a manageable size to eat as most places that make calzones seem to think they have to be the size of a football.
I also like the fact that when they give you the food they call you by name. Anyway, a definite return to this great restaurant

Haven’t got seated after 30 minutes of waiting when told only few minutes. Just this is enough to give this one star review. Regardless of how the food taste, just don’t go to this place. Won’t ever come back to this place for sure.

I’m going to have to agree with tube first review. We waited almost an hour (was told 30min) to be seated. Plenty of empty tables, why people waiting?
Plus very over staffed. I counted 30 employee, 14 standing around doing nothing. As you can see in the pic four people at check in. Really? Is this company producing that much profit they can afford this? If so how about some faster service.
Food as stated not as good as the other locations, but it’s still new location.
Great location for us, but would consider the ride to whitestation location as best.
