Just a partial review for now, as the«Grand Opening» is next week. I noticed the big smoker out front of this unique little corner place and it smelled great, so, I stopped in. The owner said he didn’t announce being open yet, because he wanted to kind of test the waters first. The partial menu consisted of ribs, chicken and 4 sides: baked beans, cole slaw, applesauce and macaroni salad. Each dinner came with 2 sides. We ordered one of each. The ribs were very tasty, but a little over done. I don’t mind the charred coating on most bar-b-q, but this had too many burned meat edges. The chicken was OK, not a lot of bar-b-q flavor. All of the sides were pretty good. For $ 8.00, it was a sizable meal and overall, not bad. The complete menu will also have steak sandwiches, collard greens, and macaroni and cheese. Most businesses that opened here have not survived very long. There has been Mexican and Lebanese style diners, plus pizza and sub shops in this location and I don’t think any have been there more than a few years. One of the major problems is the limited parking.
