I went to Coastal Sewing Machines to collect a row pattern for the Row by Row Experience. The gentleman at the store was very nice and offered to help. They were open on the weekend as well during the summer! The prices seem reasonable and the selection was quite impressive. I’ll be back sooner rather than later.

I’m a guy who knows nothing about sewing nor do I really want to. My. Wife wanted a new machine that’s «nice» and«not from sears.». Went to coastal and they schooled me and I bought a machine from Jeff. Very good experience. My wife has since been a customer and attended a class and loved it. Sewing shops bore me but I recommend this place.

I’ve been to Coastal Sewing twice. I went once during a quilt shop hop, and was so happy to see that they carry Pfaff sewing machines/feet/accessories that I asked about classes. I actually ended up driving back(about 35 miles) to go to a serger class there, that was absolutely fantastic. The fabric selection is quite good. At first, it feels small, as many quilting stores do, but the more time you spend, the more you realize just how much they’ve filled in every nook and cranny. There is a whole small room with lovely batiks, they carry lots of different desiger fabrics,(including oilcloth, which around here seems very hard to find) loads of patterns, a huge wall of feet and accessories and kits as well. The big draw back to me was the parking. Some of the more local customers just pull in and park any old way and actually block other people in. I had to ask someone to move their car, and the staff was very kind and gracious… the other customer… not so much. Will definately be going back.
