Been coming here for 18 years and we love it! Absolute best place today in OOB hands down!

My family has stayed here many times, and I can’t say that we’ve ever had a stellar experience. We’ve had everything from sparks shooting out of the wall when we plugged in electronics, to only one of the two beds being made. It is a great location, not too far from the pier. They provide complimentary beach chairs and loungers, and of course the hotel is right on the beach. However there are some cons. The«front door» to your room is a sliding screen door that locks backward. Outside of your room is a deck you share with all the rooms on your floor. That means that if someone is smoking outside, you won’t be able to leave the screen open and enjoy the fresh air(unless you enjoy cigarette smoke). People often look into other rooms when they’re walking by, so if you want any privacy you’ll have to keep your blinds closed. The décor is very dated– fake flowers on the table, plastic-y floral placemats, faded wall art. The beds are comfortable enough, and the bathrooms are okay– the showers are a little severe and sometimes the tiles are cracked. Don’t expect to sleep in, either– the maintenance staff talk loudly all morning trying to wake everyone up and get them out of their rooms. It’s not great, but when we’re here we generally don’t spend a lot of time in the room, so it’s tolerable. However, if it was up to me, I’d look into other places to stay.

Nice staff. Clean rooms. We come here every year sometimes a few times per year and we are always pleased.

Shocked by good reviews!” I booked this hotel based on the good and excellent reviews on this place and was shocked at the condition of the property and state of the room. Within 30 minutes of arriving, we cancelled our reservations and left. The stairs leading to the room were unsafe, we had a shared deck on which an elderly gentleman stood smoking when we arrived, the locks on the room doors were old and not secure, the furniture looked to be approx 20(or more) years old, and the room smelled of urine. Most of the rooms were empty(there were only about 10 cars in the parking lot) and now i understand why. The pictures of the rooms and property on the hotel’s web page look to have been touched up because the hotel i saw only vaguely looked like the pictures. Unless you are an elderly smoking gent who likes the smell of danger and urine, this place won’t be for you.
