As Jimmie Walker used to say in Good Times, «dy-no-mite!» This certainly applies to this beach boutique. Open from May to October, Dy-No-Mite is the everything-beach shop you can love. Owners Jack and Rose know their business and can judge your size just by looking at you. Unbelievable variety of sizes. Offering swimwear, tees, sweats, shorts, beach accessories, souvenirs and even taffy; it is an all-in-one shop you will want to visit. Be sure to check out their sales if you like bargains. Otherwise their prices are typical. Overall, a fun place to visit on your way to a fantastic beach vacation.

Holy mother of beach items and clothing! We stopped in at this store while visiting Old Orchard Beach and have to say that it was both captivating and overwhelming all at once. This store is massive, has everything you need for a day at the beach as well as for any other activity you may be doing at Old Orchard. The prices here are decent and the quality is average, but the staff here is a bit intense and being followed through the shop was a bit uncomfortable. The only reason this didn’t offend us was because everyone was being tracked while in the shop… talk about paranoid.

Last year during my vacation in Olde Orchard Beach, I needed a swimsuit that would actually fit me, so I searched and found this store. It was absolutely amazing to find a place with such a huge collection of large bust sized bikini tops! The store owner was very knowledgable and knew my size right away! It’s nice to walk into a shop where the owners actually know what their talking about. I regret not buying more, a lot of them really fit great! The owners were very helpful, a little pushy but backed off when I said that I wanted to look on my own. They’ve got nice swimsuits though, and they know it.

Don’t like this place. The staff here is the epitome of agressive, pushy salespeople. Plus, once you’ve rebuffed their multiple attempts to «help» you, they just follow you around like you’re going to steal something. My sisters and I were shopping all up and down Old Orchard Street(the address is wrong in the Unilocal!listing, btw), and when we stopped in to Dy-No-Mite, we left quickly. The people who run the joint speak some other language, and once we politely declined their offer of assistance while we shopped, they made no attempt to hide the fact that they were talking about us in their foreign language. Overall, it was one of the most uncomfortable shopping experiences I’ve had in a long while. Check out of the other 100 or so t-shirts and etc shops in town. There is nothing worthwhile to check out in this place.

Attention members of the Big Titty Committee! I found it! The elusive 32DD bra sized bikini top! Dy-No-Mite is your typical tourist beach shop that I would have normally just walked by, you know neon beach gear and loud music blaring in your face. Fortunately I could see the massive bathing suit selection and went in. The colors and patterns were ok, they didn’t make me feel like a grandma like Figleaves does. Not designer or anything, but beggars can’t be choosers. The girls in the store were super helpful. I wanted a bra style top and cheeky boyshort bottoms. They mix and matched some brands for me and no one can even tell the difference. They had a wide range of sizes, I saw 36, 38, E, F, halter, cross back, and bra-style. I know summer’s over :(but I want to go back and stock up!
