If you follow the directions for this product you’ll discover that, to have it work as advertised, you’ll have to do more than having the product applied and then feel protected for 7 years. First, you’ll pay, dependent upon where you have it applied, about $ 599. You’ll be told it will last 7 years. Then, if you read the directions or call Auto Armor, you’ll discover that, for the best results, you should apply additional paint and vinyl protection every six months. The additional paint protection instructions states that you should apply it twice each time. You’ll be given those«two» products in a kit«after» your car has been finished. You probably won’t be told anything about these products before you’ve spent the $ 599 or, perhaps, more. I wasn’t. The paint protection bottle, according to Auto Armor, will last no more than 2 or 3 applications. BUT, you can purchase another paint protection bottle from Auto Armor for $ 15.99 a bottle plus tax and shipping. The same can be said of the vinyl/leather protection bottle. Now you’re buying two different and additional products every year or so. And, the total cost for seven years of moderate protection will actually cost you more than $ 800.00. After I wrote this review, I received a message from someone thanking me for writing it. The person added, being in favor of the product, that Auto Armor protects against paint dings caused by pebbles hitting your car. Soon after I made the mistake of purchasing this product, I was told by the dealer who applied it and Auto Armor that it doesn’t. Yesterday, for no particular reason I searched Auto Armor+reviews. What I found was, perhaps, hundreds of reviews stating customer dissatisfaction with Auto Armor. Most reviews reiterated my issues with the product’s cost and having to reseal your car every six months to maintain the product’s seven year warranty. Virtually all suggested the use of other, less expensive products. Consumers Reports always recommends that you not purchase Auto Armor type products when you buy a new car because, the markup, before buying additional products, is incredibly high and you can easily protect your car’s finish with products like Nu Finish by yourself for, literally, less than 5% of the cost of Auto Armor. And, you can just as easily reapply it once, rather than twice, a year. Application of products like Nu Finish has taken me no more than 30 minutes and it works very well. I’m sure there are others that may work even better. I usually follow the advise from Consumer Reports. This time I didn’t. Shame on me. If this review stops anyone from wasting their money on a completely needless and expensive expenditure, that was its purpose.

That Red Corvette in the pictures is mine… and I was LUCKY to have Rudy install the Xpel for me! Seriously, this guy is GOOD. I am super careful of who I’d trust my car, but Rudy@Auto Armor is a great choice. Trustworthy, and excellent workmanship… I can’t tell the stuff is on there! My bumper, hood, mirrors… thank you Rudy! If anyone is doing R8C delivery, and you got a drive in front of you(like I did); you WILLNOT be disappointed in protecting the car with Rudy before the drive home! Stop looking around… you have found the best!
