Chatham Travel Lodge

I love the look of this motel! It’s located on top of a hill so there are great views! The owners are very nice and helpful. This is the only motel in Chatham so it was easy to find. The room was clean, spotless. I had no problems and slept comfortably. I will stay again. Highly recommend.

Needs some serious updates! The bathroom looks straight out of the 80’s. And the water pressure in the shower was for sure lacking!
Everything looked fairly clean. But dear lord if you like sleeping on the firmest bed ever go for it. I would have been more comfortable sleeping in my car.

We stayed here because of work and asked if we could cancel the reservation but were told he couldn’t do that because he was at full capacity and could have sold our rooms to someone else earlier. This would be fine but we were lied to, the hotel has about 12 – 14 rooms and their was 6 cars in the parking lot at night. The rooms are dumpy and the air conditioner barely put out cold air. The bedsheets had stains on them and when I told him he said «they were washed and it was just a stain». He did change the sheets but responded with «You do know, this isn’t a 5 star hotel». My co-​workers room still had used diapers in the trash and the owners response was «we have college kids clean». My advise is find somewhere else to stay.
