Valvoline Instant Oil Change

I have visited this store twice since I purchased my new car. A man named James was the employee who guided me through what was needed and how the process worked. He was very kind and I hope on my next visit that he is also the one who helps. The price is reasonable and the service is very quick. I have sent several family members to this location for their oil changes also! It is always nice to know that I can go into a place of business and be treated kind by employees and not scammed for more money since I am a woman.

This place is awesome! Fast oil changes and always a little entertainment, the staff is hilarious! If you need a fast oil change, it’s the place to go!

Had taken my car to this location couple years ago and experience was not that great. Decided to try it again as I have heard there is a new team. I have tried it twice now and well different then before GREAT EXPERIENCE. Turn around seems to be something that happens often there but the group they have now really seems to work well together. The guy that helped me not sure if he was management or not believe his name was Brandon he really was very helpful and not pushy and I really felt like he knew what he was doing and enjoyed it. Was nice to see. I will keep coming back if it’s the same crew.

I come in here several times a year for an oil change. You can get coupons online and the service is usually pretty good.
As a female I occasionally feel intimidated and uncomfortable in a place like this. But so far, I’ve felt that the employees don’t try to get me on unnecessary repairs. They do a good job explaining things and helping me understand.
This place could certainly use a fresh coat of paint on the waiting room, some decent coffee and just an overall cleaning. It’s not very warm and inviting as a place to wait. Fortunately I’m never in there very long.
We haven’t had any troubles with their work and we’ve felt taken care of each time we bring our car here.
I recommend this place for a quick, affordable oil change.

I’ve been coming here for over a year since I moved to Olathe and every time I’ve been here there has been different techs working. This experience was just as good as any other time I went in for an oil change.
The other day I went in after 5p of the hottest day of the year (so far). I get in without a wait, as usual. Mike & Austin were there and you could tell that it had been a long day but it didn’t affect their attitude. They were very friendly and when discussing «car stuff» with the other customer that was there, they spoke in a way that the customer understood what they were talking about while not talking down to her. Something that isn’t always easy.
They have their lines that they’re supposed to say (replace air filter, higher quality oil, etc) but weren’t pushy about any of it. Same with getting my information, I declined and we moved on to the next thing. They even went out of their way to explain to me a problem they see quite often with the same car I have (a problem that the store doesn’t have the capabilities to fix, so I knew they weren’t just trying to sell me something else).
This place is a well oiled machine (pun intended).

The junker needed it’s yearly oil change. Which is not to say that only junkers should go to Valvoline but one of our cars (mine) is a junker that is not driven all that often.
So I dreadfully took it in for an oil change. I say dreadfully because I’m not taking it to a dealer, I want the oil change ordeal done and through quickly. Dealers are anything but quick. I also say dreadfully because most oil change shops try to maximize profits from each customer. Fine but be real.
Well in the past this and it seemed all shops employed some pretty reprehensible tactics. Letting me know the coolant was off and they’d top it off for $ 5.00. Clean my injectors, flush my system and on and on for hundreds of dollars.
Today I am happy to report they still do that (not the $ 5.00 top off) but there isn’t the pressure I once remember. They have a script to go through, they go through it and don’t get me to say no thank you, I’ll pass, wait for it. .. NO. That three «no» rule thing. Once and we are done. Refreshing. I’m sure there are people who would like to be flushed or have their injectors cleaned. I’m just not one of them.
Now I should add that there are three blends of oil. I, having the junker, put in the lowest grade. If there were a lower, cheaper grade I’d use it. Helps offset the need for the NASA made oil I have to put in the other car. Anyway, they do always «suggest» I go with a higher (pick either one) grade. I never do. This time they offered to bump me to the mid grade FOR FREE. Nice enough but at $ 39.99 for an oil change I think I will be looking for a cheaper deal next time around. Now I won’t go to the shops that advertise $ 20.00 oil changes. I feel very uncomfortable doing that. Argh, I may have to see what the dealer charges for an oil change or look for a coupon.
This shop is efficient though it helped to not have to wait as only one of two bays was occupied. Staff is friendly. They seem to have developed a checklist (more detailed checklist) to be sure they don’t forget to put oil in after draining it or not forgetting to put the filter on. It was nice to hear everything checked off.
