Tim’s Tire Center

I’m conflicted on how to even rate this store and am giving them a two out of five because they are definitely not ‘A-​OK’, and I have certainly experienced better. They aren’t awful, but there is certainly room for improvement.
Pros: Fair prices, honest description about what you need, not trying to sell you on anything.
Cons: They have one speed. Slow. Very not fast. Don’t make plans around your appointment time.
I had been going to another shop and my car was chewing through tires. I assumed my alignment was off, but it was never recommended so I wasn’t 100% this was the problem.
My experience with Tim’s Tire Center are as follows:
I made an appointment for a four wheel alignment, and replacing my tires. After waiting for over an hour (with a scheduled appointment) my car had still not been looked at, and the crew went to lunch. Half way through their lunch; I was told it was going to be a while because there was no-​one to look at it.
After an hour and a half; I spoke with someone who recommended I get a ride back to work as I had stated my need to return. Since I had no-​one available; they offered to take me. I work half an hour from the store, and would have had to left work early to make it back before their closing time, so this would have essentially been another hour of lost work if I had ridden back with them.
My car ended up being finished around the three hour mark. Three hours to perform an alignment and put on new tires. With an appointment. I have no complaints with the work they did, as the alignment was dramatically better afterwards.
Round 2:
After driving on the new tires for 6,000 miles; I returned for a tire rotation. This time my car was taken into the bay right away, and someone started looking at it…
An hour and a half later; my tires had been rotated and a nail taken out. Again; I have no complaints with the work, but an hour and a half to rotate tires and fix a nail when the car is immediately taken in (with an appointment) is just slow.
As much as I want to support small business; I’m going to have to just go to a tire chain close to work that can get me in and out. If you have the time; stop by. If your time is worth more than the $ 7-​$ 10 a tire you save; go elsewhere.

Today was my first experience with Tim’s. I selected them based on Unilocal reviews and being a small business. I had my snow tires put on. Very competitively priced compared with the big guys and I didn’t need a coupon or anything. The staff was very friendly and the mechanics doing the job were very thorough. I watched the entire job and really liked the quality check of the other team members checking each other’s work to make sure it was done perfectly. I will definitely be a repeat customer. Thanks for the job well done.

I have been going here for 16 years, I Have never had a problem, one time we got some brakes one time from them and they squeeled bad, We took it back got the problem fixed immediately. Like i said never one problem from the tires in 16 years. i recommend to anyone who needs tires or brakes

I went in with a nail in a tire, tread was 4 so almost time for new. asked to check tires, said good til winter. paid 26.00 to repair because did not get tire there. Discount tires would have repaired for free even if you don’t get tire at their place. They also missed inside drivers side tire where the metal was coming through the tire, I know this because next went to get oil changed and they showed me tire and said get new one immediately. so wasted 26. because bought all new tires. I guess anyone can make a mistake, but this one cost me $ 26.00.

I love this place! I’ve been here three times and each time they have been wonderful. They are honest and tell you all of the options and don’t try to upsell or overcharge. The most recent time I took my Pathfinder in because there was a strange noise coming from under the front. They found a piece of bent metal that was rattling. They fixed it for me and didn’t even charge me because they said «it took no time at all! «
Great customer service, honest and funny staff, and every time there’s something wrong with our vehicles we always go to Tim’s first.

Long time customer — this is one of the best businesses that I spend my money with — knowledgeable, helpful, good people doing business the right way.

Best place to buy tires in KC area by far. The establishment will not impress, but the service and prices will. I arrived at 10am and estimated time to put tires on and alignment was 90 minutes. I was out the door in 50 minutes. The employees are very friendly and you can’t beat the prices. What else can you ask for?

Great people here. I needed to have a lawn mower tire mounted on a rim that I didn’t buy here, and they mounted and aired it up for free. Couldn’t believe that they didn’t want any money for it. I will be back here the next time I need tires for my vehicle.

Highly recommend Tim’s Tires! Not overpriced. I had brakes and rotors worked on and these guys are honest and tell it to you straight. I appreciate that! I am a woman and I went in and wasn’t taken advantage of — they talked me through all the services they were doing and made recommendations and referred me to another great mechanic if they couldn’t help me.

They are awesome. Great prices and service! I will not buy tires anywhere else. They are always courteous and offer excellent pricing and several options. It is also great to support a local small business. Bill, the owner, is extremely knowledgeable and always friendly. They can get you in and out usually within an hour. They do not take appointments.

I needed new tires. I called around the area and I got the lowest price from here. I knew they were closing in about an hour. Even being a very hot day they told me to bring it in. They got me in and out in no time. The staff was funny and friendly. I will be bringing my cars back here for great service. I recommend them.
