Royal Fence installed my fence back in January. They were great to work with during the actual planning and construction process. Their quote was also the most reasonable. However, when I noticed that there were gaps of 3−5″ between the bottom of the fence and the ground their response was for me to go buy a bunch of 2×6’s to fill the gaps. Needless to say, it looks pretty bad. Had they taken responsibility and done that«fix» for me, I would have given them a 4 star. After reading some of these other reviews, I’ll update on whether they even used concrete to set the posts.

Bad ending to a good start. I had Royal Fence remove my old wooden fence and install about 180-ft of ornamental steel fence with 2 gates. Initially things went well, but when I saw the finished installation, I was not satisfied. The load-bearing gate post was not property installed and sank into the ground about 3 inches due to the weight of the 5-ft gate. The opening in the fence where the gate was installed was too wide, so there was about a 3-inch gap on one side and ½-inc gap on the other. The paint job on the custom gate had to be re-done due to obvious drips and bumps in the finish. The gate immediately rusted really bad on the bottom after 1 week, so I doubt that he even used a primer coat. I notified Jay at Royal Fence about the problems and he kept promising to take care of it. He blew me off for 6 months and then finally told me he would give me a $ 250 credit to have someone else fix it. I have dealt with a lot of contractors and installers, but this was the worst one I have ever encountered.
