The couple that runs this shop are the best. If you come in often enough, they remember what you order. The coffee is reasonably priced, and everything they use is environmentally friendly and either recyclable or compostable. I have yet to try any of the food, or any of their specialty drinks, since I prefer normal drip coffee. Full of flavor.

Came here to have lunch and work for a few hours. Didn’t feel welcome, like they didn’t want people to stay for a while, even though I bought more than just a drink and tipped. Only ended up staying for an hour or so and left.

Atmosphere is kind of quirky! But their drinks are certainly worth your time. Quality ingredients, Kansas inspired, and very unique blend of flavors. Definitely recommend– I took my foreign exchange student here and got to teach her more about Kansas!

Woke up Saturday morning with plenty planned for the day but we needed food and coffee to get us started… Quick Unilocal search and I discovered Kansas Coffee Company was on our way but with no hours listed I decided to call to be sure they were open. After finding out they are open 7:30−11am the fella on the phone asked me if I was from South Dakota(Assuming he has caller ID and noticed my area code) I replied yes and after a short conversation come to find out we both grew up in the same hometown and graduated just 2 years apart. Small world! Anyhoo once we arrived my wife and I each ordered our coffees as well as some breakfast sandwiches. The sandwiches were great! Fresh croissant with bacon, egg and cheese served with a muffin of your choice or sub a coffee which is what we did. This is exactly what we needed to start our busy day. This is a great local coffee shop!

Cute little coffee shop, but it closes early on weekdays. I was meeting a friend for coffee after work and we had just ordered when we realized they were closing up. They were very nice about it, didn’t kick us out; but I was rather surprise that it was only 5pm! As for what I ordered, I had the Steamboat. It was tasty and a pleasure to drink while the evening became chilly. I’ll be back for more… Just a little earlier in the day!

Awesome place. The coffee and sandwiches were delicious and the service was great too. It’s such a cozy, welcoming coffee shop. We wish we would have known about this place sooner. We’ll be back!

This is the cutest little coffee shop! The baristas are super sweet and knowledgeable about the various drinks and give great recommendations. All of their espresso drinks are to die for. They are also priced really well. Make sure to stop by and support local :)

What a nice hidden gem. I really enjoyed KCC. The café was nice to sit and enjoy reading and a good conversation with a friend. The store was very clean and the gentleman behind the counter was friendly and helpful. They nice have outdoor seating as well. I ordered the Legend sandwich. I am a carnivore, the ingredients in this one were too tempting. The humus really added a lot because it had great texture and awesome flavor. My side was the pasta salad. I was nice, but nothing to write home about. With all the great menu items I will be back soon.

I had to visit the courthouse today and after doing so was much in need of some breakfast. I’d parked right next to Kansas Coffee Company, so checked the reviews on Unilocal while I was waiting in the courthouse. I’m not a big coffee drinker, but it looked like they had enough to offer to make it worthwhile, especially since I was parked practically at their doorstep. After finishing my duties, I walked on over and was cheerfully greeted. She could tell I was a newbie, so told me to take my time. There were quite a few choices, so I went ahead and ordered my coffee drink: I went for Shawnee, since that’s where I live. She asked if I was going to have breakfast and I said I was, but hadn’t decided. I was looking at the quiche that looked good. She said that the Rooster was most popular and I went for that. I appreciated her helpfulness and the fact that it wasn’t pushy. She was very good a anticipating my questions. Anyway, we chatted for a few minutes as she prepared my coffee and my food was prepared. I enjoyed the artwork and if I make it back to that part of town, I’ll take more time to browse their cute gift items too. Overall, the breakfast was exactly $ 10, which isn’t too bad for a coffee house breakfast. The croissant was fantastic. I would have maybe added a little sauce for some zing, but still delicious. It came with a huge muffin that was also really tasty. The Shawnee is good, too. I am just not a huge coffee drinker, so it’s hard for me to get excited about it.

This is a great little locally owned husband and wife coffee shop. The people are incredibly friendly, and they seem to really care about putting out a good product. I’m not a coffee drinker, but the coffee looked and smelled delicious. They also have a small menu of sandwiches and such which all looked tasty and affordable. I had an Italian Soda(needed something cool and refreshing on a hot day), and it was mixed perfectly, and they had at least 15 flavors to choose from. While I’m not in downtown Olathe very much, it’s definitely someplace I’ll have to stop by to grab some food.
