Good place for Mexican food. Family friendly atmosphere and good food. I’ll come back.

I’ve been here several times for lunch and dinner all the food is excellent. You will get to try some unusual dishes that you don’t find everywhere else.

I’ve been here multiple times. This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. Everything is super fresh. They make the tortillas fresh daily. You can even watch the machine pump them put. Highly recommend this place.

Great food at good prices. The atmosphere is lovely, and the waitstaff excellent. This place is nice because it is not your run of the mill generic mexican food place. They have traditional food as well as some unique dishes. Go try it out!

Long wait(quotes 20 min and it was an hour) followed by terrible fish tacos(run away from these!!). Waitress was kind and the margs are overpriced and watery but at least they aren’t over sweet.

Have been here now 3 times. Each time is better than than the last. Which is pretty unusual in my experience. My wife and I don’t like to eat a lot if food and each time the servers have recommended a great dish to split since the portions are large. The food is hot, tastes fresh and most importantly is good. The restaurant has some of the most interesting interior decorating in the area but I tend to really like talivera stuff. The staff from Vincent and Rudy as managers to Elvia our server were gracious, on top of the service and friendly but not intrusive. Mexican restaurants always seem like a gamble but I have yet to feel like my money was not well spent. One word of caution however, the place is large and can get a little noisy due to that. So if you like a little quieter place this may not be for you.

This place is so good! I wouldn’t call it authentic but the food was delicious, the restaurant was clean and the employees seemed happy to work there.

Great service, decorated atmosphere, but unfortunately, mushy and salty entrees. They have lots of drinks to choose from, and also start off with a green jalapeño and avocado salsa, and mild salsa with chips(if you want hot salsa, request it free of charge). Our waiter was ready to give us multiple refills of water and chips, and was very friendly and courteous. Food took a bit of time to come out, but things appeared to look freshly made. I ordered the shrimp enchiladas, which were completely drenched in their cheese sauce. The shrimp, also, was incredibly salty. I was unable to finish both enchiladas, and chose not to box the meal home.

Really good food. Excellent service. The fish dishes are the best. $ 1 Taco night is awesome too.

From the outside, this restaurant looks like a small place in a strip mall, but when you’re inside, it looks like a Mexican villa. AUTHENTIC food, complimentary chips with multiple salsas. MUSTTRYTHEURUAPANAVOCADOS dish! It’s a whole avocado cut in half, covered in creamy champagne sauce with shrimp, mushrooms & cilantro. It comes served with white rice and black beans. You likely won’t have room for dessert!

What a GREATFIND! Didn’t even know that this restaurant existed! A friend recommended and we weren’t quite sure due to the location. But when we walked in, WOW what a surprise! Beautiful tall ceilings, nice décor, attentive staff and excellent food! Don’t miss out on the live music as they wander from table to table. Good experience!

Celiacs! Do not eat here! They have no awareness. They use soy sauce to marinate the fajita meat. Manager seemed knowledgeable, and guided me to the chicken tacos in hard shell corn tortillas. I got glutened. :(

Sad to say K Macho’s gets a downgrade. We ordered for take out tonight, my husband ordered fajitas and for $ 13 you get 6 pieces of meat. I don’t know if it was a mistake or if they are getting cheap. I ordered a chicken and mushroom enchilada and the sauce was curdled. Not happy customers tonight at all. I also must mention, that parking lot is horrible. Harbor Freight has taken over half of it and there are no where near enough spots.

Really nice inside. Spacious and the staff is always great and very friendly. The queso was OK, I think I just like white queso better. We enjoyed our margaritas, and there was also a mariachi band that came(it was saturday night) and would play for your table. I’m sure you’re supposed to tip them, but we didn’t have cash. :( I’ve been here twice and both times have been good. Would definitely recommend.

I ordered the escalade margarita and chicken fajitas. I had originally walked in through the back way and got a chance to really check out the restaurant décor, which was amazing and well placed. Each young lady and man smiled and greeted me. I was immediately seated even though it was a packed house on a Monday at 5. The waiter quickly came with water and chips grab my drink order. By the time my drink came The premium Escalade Margarita 20oz is awesome. I was ready to order. Be warned 2 and your good, 3 call an Über with the margaritas. I order the chicken fajitas and it was a nice portion I had enough to take home. Rice and beans were so flavorful with no salt necessary. Not completely authentic but very good and will be returning for sure. The price per portion is spot on.

My favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. Yum! My personal favorites include the Champion Burrito, the Chimichanga, Fajita Plate to share and the Carne Asada. Chips and salsa are delicious and plentiful and the margaritas are well made. Homemade tortillas make everything better. Great for groups and families as they have lots of large tables. Their lunch specials are also a nice treat. If you do have a large group and want to dine on a Friday or Saturday night, either show up early(5:30 at the latest) or show up late(7:30ish) or you won’t get a seat for a long, long time. The wait is worth it, though.

Atmosphere is great although due to the size, it’s very loud. Plenty of service staff. You can watch them make fresh tortillas and even ask for some right from the maker(great attraction to keep kids occupied while waiting for food). The food is just okay though. Huge portions but nothing to write home about. It’s not my favorite.

I have been here three times now and I have to say this is one of my favorites in Olathe. The hot salsa is actually hot! Their carnitas are excellent. I’ve also had the Panchita Chimichanga, that has chicken, bacon, pico and mushrooms. The décor is authentic and you can even watch them make their own tortillas! They even have a traveling band that goes from table to table on some nights! The service is great as well and servers kept the tea and water full at our table at all times. Give it a try you won’t be disappointed!

Ok, I LOVE this place. It’s far from home, so, I won’t get to come out often but I’m glad I chose this place for my birthday dinner with my ladies. I had enchiladas and they were delicious and prepared correctly. Not leathery and cool(temp). Big protions and the price is right too. The mango margaritas are exceptional. We didn’t have to wait long but it was busy on a Wednesday night.

My parents are huge fans of the Mexican grocery store and taqueria next door so my fiancé and I decided to make the trip out to Olathe to try it out. Once we got there, however, we thought we might instead want to sit down to dinner so we headed to K Macho’s(which I think is owned by the same people) instead. Inside, while it might be a bit campy, it’s fun to feel transported to Mexico and enjoy the ambiance of the place — which was really unexpected from the appearance outside. The food was really enjoyable, but the chips and salsa were the stars to me. We will definitely be back to try out more of the menu with some friends in the near future!

This place is so ridiculously good. This isn’t the authentic authentic Mexican place you’re looking for before you give it a bad review. This caters to the people of Olathe, I mean honestly… Go next door if you want the street tacos and other great stuff. You would not expect much from the outside of this place. Once I walked through the doors I knew it would be much more than I was anticipating. Really neat murals and décor everywhere, you feel like you’re in your own little Mexican world! The two times I’ve been here service has been excellent. The horchata is excellent as well. I’ve the Champion burrito and the Popeye burrito. Yes they have pretty cheesy names but they’re just that much more awesome in my opinion. The filling amounts are perfect, especially when you get something like the Champion burrito(Because you’re a champion, duh) that has lots of different things in it. I could barely finish my meals both times and the amount of food you get for the price is wonderful. Refried beans and black beans are both awesome and have tons of flavor. The rice was a little lacking but better than most places. If you’re craving Mexican food and you’re anywhere near this part of town, it’s worth a drive.

This place is huge, clean and well decorated in Mexican décor. The service was great and attentive. The food was slightly above average for Tex-Mex. The salsas were good and the chips fresh. My Champion Burrito was filled with steak, shrimp and mostly chicken and tasted great. The black beans and rice were decent. The best part was we were eating a little later than normal and caught there late happy hour special of $ 220oz draft beers(starts at 8pm)!! Dos Equis Amber beer and burritos for the win!

So average. Like pretty much every«Mexican» place in KC. With amazing authentic stuff literally next door. Service was only okay. The food was so blah — cheese enchiladas, tacos, tamales, you name it. In all cases, the meat was only okay, the sauce that they pour on everything was mediocre, and cheese covered absolutely everything(as is the case with all«Mexican» places). Chips and salsa were decent. I’ll give them that. As it is one big open place, it tends to be loud. I’m not a fan of that. Many people like the roaming band. I’m not a fan of roaming live music at my dinner table. And yes, that sentence does sound funny. Prices are low. As they should be for the quality. I just don’t need to return.

Not bad! Actually my wife and I agree K Macho’s was the best Mexican we’d had outside of our own kitchen for some time. The dining room was clean and cheery. I was glad to see that they had not packed it with so many tables you can taste your neighbors food like other well known established Mexican restaurants in KC. The green dip was great. And the chips where light and crispy. Their margaritas where smooth and could get you in trouble if you came in to thirsty. Our entrees arrived hot and as ordered. The red sauce on their enchiladas was exactly what I taste in my head when I think of enchilada sauce. My first bite and I knew I’d be happy with the rest of my meal. The beans where excellent. Full of flavor. The sopa– not so much. But please understand I make all this at home and I don’t usually care for restaurant rice. Their ground beef tacos where also flavorful and I was surprised at how un-greasy they were. While we were there another couple revived a giant molcajete full of grilled meats. I don’t know what that is on the menu– didn’t see it but I’d definitely try it! It looked delicious. My wife and I made happy plates and shared flan for dessert. It was creamy, smooth and sweet. Not eggy at all — perfection here. If I could suggest any improvement here it would be with the service. Our server was not all that attentive, forgot to bring our dip(which he did charge us for and casually deducted from our check without mentioning) but didn’t appear to have a lot of other tables. We’ll definitely be back!
