Great place, their selection is always changing so I appreciate that there is always something new to look at. Their pillows and rugs are some of the most reasonable prices I’ve seen, so its a good bargain.

I’m a gifter. It’s my love language to give gifts. But I’m also thrifty. I like to feed my savings account. How to cope? Homegoods! Some of my favorite never fail departments here: –Linens. I love giving and getting new kitchen towels. Happy«insert whatever holiday». Seriously, if I’m invited to your place in March I’m probably bringing you a hostess gift of cute little towels with shamrocks embroidered on them. Be warned! –Papergoods. I’m a bit of a stationary freak. I must have note cards and sticky notes and embossed envelopes for every mood and season. And if it has a Fleur De Lys on it, you can bet your last dollar, I’m probably going to want to take it home with me. Oh, and if you’re my friend you will likely be giving a beautiful set of your very own before too long. –Kitchen gadgets. From unique single piece plastic containers to fancy zesters and avocado slicers, if you’ve seen it elsewhere for big bucks, you’ll probably find it here for less. –Pet stuff. Great gifts for those raising«four legged children». Fancy dog biscuits, leashes, toys.etc. Fluffy and Fido are both treated like kings here.(Seriously, I have a friend who is always saying cats are underrepresented in the pet accessory world, not here!)

I go to Home Goods when I’m looking for great Home Décor at a reasonable price. They have great variety that changes every week. They carry unique items that you can find in department stores but for a discounted price. I love the variety, but often the shelves ate cluttered and not well organized so you’ve got to be willing to take time to look. They do care most of the things that Bed Bath and Beyond does However they don’t have consistent items and they often don’t have many duplicate items. I went in there looking for a set of basic glasses and they didn’t have any. So it’s never a guarantee. If you’re looking for things for you home, this place it worth checking out before going to other more expensive stores. You may just find something you love for a great price.

Home Goods is so much better than Bed Bath and Beyond. I mean… soooo much better. I will never bother with BB&B again now that I have seen the light of Home Goods. First, the place feels like it is laid out better. Instead of a big circle like BB&B, it’s laid out like every other freakin’ store in America — the normal way. That is — enter, go two rows up, turn left, turn right, boom. Second, instead of having 20 of the same products, and 20 more of another product that is almost exactly the same, they have a few of each, meaning your selection is better, but also there is less of a chance of buying the exact same product as everyone else on the planet, and there is more of a chance that what you get will be(a) a little different, and(b) more fitting with the motif you are going after. Third, the prices seem cheaper compared to similar stuff at BB&B. Fin.

Home Goods is a vastly expanded Marshall’s housewares and décor section, with a great selection at prices much lower than standard department stores. This location in the Olathe Pointe shopping complex adjoins Marshall’s and you just walk through between stores, even though they have separate signs outside. They share the same checkout lines. I found much too much stuff for my apartment here — silk flower arrangements and greenery(I have the original brown thumb and kill off all the real plants I get), gourmet food items, great imported soaps, cookware, and a futuristic candy dish that looks like very expensive Murano glass for $ 12(I’ve seen things like it in museum gift shops for over $ 100!). There’s also furniture, area rugs and wall décor. Like all such stores, you never know what they’ll have from one visit to the next, but it’s great fun browsing! Each week they get new deliveries, so if you’re not in a rush and can’t find something on one visit, you might find it the next time you go. Definitely check it out if you’re furnishing or decorating — lots of stuff at very low prices compared to the department stores, or even places like Pier 1 and World Market, which it somewhat resembles. And what you don’t find at Home Goods very well may be at the SuperTarget or Bed, Bath & Beyond, just across Black Bob, to the west!
