Old time diner. Great chicken fried steak. Friendly staff. My wife had chopped steak and it was great too. We will definitely go back.

Go there, do this. Eat the chicken friend steak. Comes with a nice little side salad with awesome tomatoes, as well as mashed potatoes and yummy gravy. The peanut butter pie looked amazing but we were all too stuffed! Super nice people too!

Do not miss this throwback diner! The desk clerk at our hotel recommended this place and we are glad we listened. My wife and I had chicken fried steak, which is hand breaded in house. It is a little thicker than you will find other places, but that makes for a more favorable meat to breading ratio as far as I’m concerned. Some places will serve you a dinner plate sized chicken fried steak, which usually means that the meat has been pounded to oblivion and you are eating 90% breading. The kid had a corn dog, which was nothing out of the ordinary. She wolfed it down, along with the fries. With her drink, it set me back all of $ 1.50. When is the last time you paid that little for a full meal, even for a child? The chicken fried steaks were priced a whopping 5 times as much; they came with fries, gravy, salad and two slices of Texas toast although I don’t think they were called that here in OK. We sat at the counter and both the waitress and the short order cook checked in with us several times to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. The pies were baked by the mother of our waitress. The blackberry was good, while the pecan was excellent. Unfortunately my internal debate on whether to get another slice of pecan pie for later was ended upon learning that we had just eaten the last piece. There is a pretty good chance we’ll be back for breakfast in the AM before leaving town.
