Fiancé loved it! For never having lamb before I thought it was great! I thought my meat was a little cold but that could have been because of the cold veggies on top. And the fries are different but really good.

Ate there last night for the first time. Every dish was delicious! Even my VERY picky mom who has never had Mediterranean food found something to love. Service was friendly and the atmosphere nice. The murals were pretty.

I live in Edmond and drive to 23 or MWC just for the tomato/basil/artichoke soup… and I don’t even like tomato soup as a rule… but this is AMAZING! The chicken and vegetable skewers are excellent. Get one of each with the Greek salad and WOW what a meal! How they do it at reasonable prices is a wonder. I keep begging them to open a location in Edmond.

I just really, really love this place. They are always nice, and the food is always delicious. The tomato basil soup and chicken souvlaki are tied for my favorite. This is definitely a hidden gem for Midwest City. PS: everything is made once you order, so be prepared to wait around 10 – 15 min for your order, but it’s well worth the wait!

This food always hits the spot and is super tasty. We typically eat to go now, though the portions are just as generous. Can’t really go wrong with a tasty gryo, and the rice is very good.

Vegetarian sampler was tasty! Falafel was extra fried, dolmades had great flavor, hummus was thick and spani was a tad oily but the spinach flavor inside was good. Atmosphere was quiet at the 2pm lunch hour! Food was hot and made to order!

Not the best gyros I have ever had, but darn close! Nice restaurant with a full menu if delicious Middle East food. The owner/manager is very friendly and makes sure everything is to your liking

Love this place! I got the gyro platter and it was fabulous! And there was so much food I had another entire meal in a to-go box! YUMMY!

The gyros were good along with attentive service at the table, but I’m rating low because of a cashier incident: either a case if carelessness or an attempted rip off. I ordered for my son and I with waters to drink, and was surprised the bill was over $ 20. He did not give me an itemized bill, just the credit card total. I asked the cashier if he had rang us up for 2 waters, and he said yes. Before signing the receipt I asked for an itemized bill. Sure enough, he had rung up two soft drinks for $ 4. If I hadn’t asked for the itemized bill to check, he would have ripped me off for $ 4. This might seem like an honest mistake, but since I asked him about the waters and he confirmed he had rung them up as water after looking at his cash register, I’m inclined to believe he is a dishonest, smooth operator at the till. I’m not going back to this restaurant because of this experience, and recommend if you DO go you check your bill carefully to make sure something«extra» isn’t added. Tibouli salad didn’t taste very fresh. Baklava was so-so. 1 of 5 stars. For the prices I’d rate them $$.

Today I thought let’s try something new. This place is right around the corner from my house. I was not disappointed ATALL. The staff was wonderful and pleasant. And I didn’t even dine in, I placed an order to go. But they were so nice. LOVETHISPLACE

Everything is delicious and service is excellent! Bring a jacket when you go because it gets very cold here. I don’t think they like the heater and love the a/c a bit too much here.

I’ve lived pretty close to this place for years and it’s one of my favorites in the Mid-Del area. The good: the food, like just about all of it. I have never had anything bad here, but I think the gyros are pretty standard and the fries are nothing special. That said, everything else is very good. I’m a big fan of the pasta pancetta and the chicken kabob platter. If you want a guilty meal get the Tinker Gyro, it has gyro meat, chicken, and fried onions and peppers with tzatziki. Delicious. The ossobuco lamb is incredibly tender and tasty. Service has always been friendly too. The bad: the seats and tables are hand of hand me down quality. You might get a shaky table or sit in a hole in a booth bench.

I usually get the beef shish kebab plate. Their meats are great, and the rice and tzatziki is always good. However, stay away from the baklava. It tastes like pure vegetable shortening. Not sure why, maybe because it’s old, maybe because when I asked when it was made, the guy looked shocked I would ask. It’s probably bought or frozen elsewhere and brought in and cut into way too tiny for the price bites. Fresh baklava I’ll give an arm and a leg for – vegetable shortening baklava? Heck no. If it isn’t fresh, I can tell, and I probably won’t like it. :) I docked the star because of the baklava.

Gyros were delicious, hummus was very tasty(though didn’t seem super fresh). The staff is pretty friendly. Overall it was a pretty great lunch experience.

Basil Mediterranean Café is one of my favorite spots in Midwest City. It’s on the same side as Goodwill, next to Arby’s across from Heritage Park Mall. The prices are reasonable. The place is clean. The staff are friendly. And the food is great. The way it works is you order your meal and pay for it first. They give you a number, and they will bring the food directly to your table. It’s a quaint little spot to have good Mediterranean food. Sunday afternoons around lunch time can get a little crowded because of the church crowd, but the service is great. I recommend the Chicken Bandarri and the Lamb Obusco, two of my favorites. They also have a restaurant on 23rd street, near the I-235 junction, past the Governor’s mansion. I’ve never eaten there, but it’s a new location. A friend from out of town came to OKC for a job project. He wanted something to eat on the way back home. I suggested Basil. He was surprised by the quality and service for the price.

Unfortunately, the food at Basil reminded me a little too much of some bad experiences I’ve had in the past with mediocre Mediterranean. There’s certainly a lot to love about this place, and they do all the basics right: Clean, maintained, very friendly service, and quick turns on the food. When I looked at the menu board, I did a doubletake because the prices seemed to be exceptionally good value. Order placed, I waited with confident anticipation. Once I got the food, I realized I was only getting«really good» rather than crazy value for my meal. The basket of fries was more of a handful* of only average quality, and my falafel sandwich had four lonely pieces of falafel surrounded by far too much lettuce and onion filler to complete the pita. The sauce didn’t taste exactly homemade either … So I can’t complain about the value of what I’m getting, but I also can’t say this is really good food either. A just-okay adequate option for lunch. * I have big hands, but the point is there weren’t many.

Love it! Their service is very friendly and welcoming the moment we walked it. We ordered gyro platter and gyro sandwich. I love that it’s packed with lamb and loved the cucumber sauce it came with. We also ordered the baklava. They offer three kinds walnut, cashew and pistachio. My favorite has to be the walnut because it’s sweeter than the rest. They were quick with the orders and they brought it to our table for togo. Hubby loves this place now.

This is my go-to Mediterranean place these days. Reasonably priced due to its walk-up-and-order system. Try out the veggie appetizer, Dolma, Falafel, Spanakopita, Hummus, Grilled Asparagus, and Tzatziki. We split this between our little family of four and it’s enough to start with. The kids split a gyro and fries. The wife gets the chicken kabob with rice. It’s pretty dang perfect. I eat off of everyone’s plate and get perfectly full. After the food is gone, we split up every flavor of baklava they have, walnut, pistachio, and cashew. I’m typically not a walnut guy, but that one is the best of the three.

I finally found something I really like. The Fish Pita! It contains a couple fried pieces of Tilapia and I really enjoyed it. This pita alone gives me a reason to come back here. I didn’t like their Chicken and Lamb gyro very much but the pita is awesome.

Went here for lunch while in town for work. Got a chicken gyro and it was okay. Asked to make it spicy somehow and I got a short response of we don’t do that. Oh, okay. It’s kind of a fast food middle eastern place that isn’t bad. We were also told that the fries are the best in the area, but they didn’t seem like anything special. Meh.
