I ended up stopping here for lunch when traveling on the turnpike recently. Service staff were friendly and even smiled, which can be a rareity anymore! This Villa Pizza offers pizza by the slice(pre-made and pre-cooked, then heated in the oven as it’s ordered). They had a smallish salad and pasta station where patrons could fill a dish with whatever they wished to eat, and it was placed on a scale at the register and priced by weight. They also offered rolls, cookies and a few other dessert items. While they did have bottled water, customers wanting sodas were sold a cup here at Villa Pizza, and could fill them at the ½ dozen or so Coke product dispensers that are shared by all the restaurants located in this service plaza. A relatively large slice of pizza was $ 5, medium drink was $ 2. The pizza wasn’t great and didn’t bowl me over with flavor, but then again, what do you really expect from a fast food restaurant with pre-cooked/reheated pizza slices?

Requiring food on the Florida Turnpike I grabbed a slice from Villa Pizza. 1 plain cheese slice after tax was $ 3.84. Parts of the crust were raw. The cheese & sauce flavors were okay but the crust didn’t pass the edibility test. There were some other cafeteria style«Italian» dishes on offer and they had multiple varieties of meat-laden pizza by the slice. Counter service left much to be desired.
