The Manager Victoria needs to learn the meaning of customer service, last time I eat at the Ojai location.

Is PEPSI Okay? I hadn’t been to this sandwich shop in years but decided to try it out again today for lunch. The staff was ready to move me through the process at warp speed but I wasn’t sure what I wanted and couldn’t figure out what options were available to me.(Thankfully?) they have limited options. 4 breads(white, wheat, rosemary Parmesan or gluten free), basic produce but nothing too fancy(onions, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, avocado). I was happy to see they had sliced deli chicken and swiss cheese. That’s what I got. I asked one of the women if their pickles were dill pickles and she said yes, but they turned out to be bread and butter pickles. The flavors still went very well together though so that was fine. PEPSI brand sodas at the fountain. My cookie was delicious!(I got the double peanut butter) 2 people for lunch: 1 regular sandwich, 1 giant sandwich(double meat), 2 sodas, 2 cookies = $ 33 including tax but not tip(they encourage tipping through their kiosk system). Had 1 regular sized sandwich coming home as a meal for later but it still seemed expensive to me. I really enjoyed the flavors of my sandwich and like their meats here. The rosemary Parmesan bread was very tasty too. I would not mind coming back.

Third times the charm! I’ve tried to like this place but three times I’ve tried to order ahead and each time I have to wait. I have a short lunch break and I don’t want to spend it standing around a sandwich shop. Once I called in my order, when I went to pick it up they told me I had to stand in the long line of people placing orders, rather than just going to to cashier and paying. They shouldn’t even take phone orders, what is the point? Add to that, almost every item on their menu contains high fructose corn syrup. I’m done.

I have not visited this location in quite a few years and I have lived here for ten years. I decided to try it once again but left feeling the same as before. When you walk in, the young girl with blond hair looks like she has never worked at a place like this before. She is also very rude when you bring something to their attention like their baked goods being more then a month after their sell date(not cool). Our visit there was just plain awkward. The tall guy at the register was nice and tried to make it better with conversation(he assumed we were here for the Tennis Tournament because he has never seen us before), but the girl who made the sandwiches shouldn’t have a job there. If this location keeps hiring people who do not treat their customers kindly, I’m not interested in ever going there again.

Amazing friendly service. The girl who made our subs was very professional. She seems very happy and friendly. I will definitely be back to this place. I highly recommend it.

Hey Manager! You need to get back in there and crack the whip on the Newbs you have workin on Saturdays! Today is Saturday March 7th and I was in there at 2 pm to get two sandwiches. It took twenty minutes plus! The girl cutting the meat totally screwed the order up and the other two had very little initiative to take control of the situation. The kid on register apologized and gave me a buy one get one free card but it really felt like a Day of The Living Dead episode. Your team needs a stronger sense of urgency when the line is stacked up to the door on a Saturday. Newbs need to work when it’s slower or you need a strong manager in there crackin the whip and mentoring s sense of urgency and efficiency. Especially on Saturdays! I’m local, I frequent your store and have seen better service. Please tune it up!

This place is absolutely amazing! The staff is incredibly friendly and the food is fresh! Cheese and meat sliced right in front of you. Bread is fresh and soft! My favorite is a supreme club in a tub!(It has no bread). If I lived closer I’d eat here everyday!

I ordered the #20 — A hot pastrami reuben and it was excellent. The servers were super friendly and helpful too, which I really appreciate! Unfortunately there were some other issues which prevent this particular JM from scoring high. One — the service was s.l.o.w. How slow? I had one family of four in front of me in line and it took them a full 15 minutes to finally take my order. Also the place was pretty filthy. The door handles to enter the place had some kind of black gungy goo on them which has probably been accumulating for years. Once inside, the bare concrete floor was disgusting and covered with dirt. Finally, the outdoor tables were so loose and shaky, I thought they would literally fall over if I placed my drink on them. If it were not for the wonderful sandwich and friendly service, this place would barely make one star.

Just placed my first online order and I am very pleased! The staff was on it and all I had to do was sign my name, grab my sandwich and walk out. Even right in the thick of lunch hour, there was no wait and no hassle. Thanks to Ojai Jersey Mike’s!!!

I went when it first opened years ago because I had a 2-for-1 deal. I haven’t been back. When I’m in Ojai, I’m not looking for a chain. Maybe if it was In N Out, but I like the small town and there are probably a dozen places I’d rather go within walking distance of here.

Friendly service. Gave me a free cookie and a buy 1 get 1 free card. Try your sub«mikes way» b/c the oil, vinegar, and spices taste great. Had turkey and provolone subs.

A chain I never knew existed. Think of a better version of Subway with better bread, meat freshly cut, and best of all, no Jared! I was just looking for simple lunch and I noticed Jersey Mike’s had pretty good reviews from Unilocalers. While it’s hardly a stellar sandwich shop, it’s pretty darn good for a chain. I was pleasantly surprised by the generous amount of turkey they put on my sandwich. And for those people that I don’t understand who«just can’t eat a whole regular sandwich», you’ll be happy to know Mike offers a small sandwich option, as well as a foot-long version. Bonus points to the nice employees there who let me use their phone to call my hubby(and ride) when I realized I’d left my cell in the car. Thanks again for helping me out!

This place is great! It doesn’t seem like a chain resturant at all. It reminds me of Submarina but even better. They have a small, regular and HUGE. They are very organized with one guy who takes your order and cuts the bread and meat, then someone to make the rest(be careful, they use a lot of oil and venigar) and then one person taking the cash. Yummy sandwhich. I got the turkey and cheese and my friend a BLT and both were great. Now I wish they had one in the OC area.
