We were so thankful to find Cornerstone yesterday. After a few hours of hiking, we had no idea where to find a bite to eat in the middle of the day on a Sunday. None of us had ever been to Ogunquit and we were doing a lot of aimless driving just to find a restaurant that was open. Thank goodness for this restaurant! Not only were they open, but they were very accommodating to our friends who have not only gluten allergies, but also soy allergies. They can never find places to eat. They have gluten-free crusts and make sure that the crust doesn’t touch the actual oven where the other pizzas are fired. Yes, there were only five other people in the restaurant, but our server was great and the food/drinks came out quickly. My husband loved the stone fired buffalo wings and I thoroughly enjoyed the pizza. All four of us loved the cocktails. Normally we would have been all over the craft beer list, but with a friend new to his gluten allergy… we decided to all stick to the cocktails. I’m sure it’s a different story during the summer months, but I would definitely go back!

Just home from a frustrating dinner at Cornerstone. It is a Monday during a quiet time in Ogunquit so there aren’t many restaurants open. That was fine, though, because I had been wanting to try Cornerstone and it was open. We walked in and although there were a couple of tables open, we decided to sit at the bar as we often do at restaurants. Typically I find the service at bars to be excellent because you are literally sitting directly in front of the bartender. Service tonight was painful. I do not know the exact time we sat down but I’m pretty sure it was no later 6:50. We ordered a salad, meatballs and scallops and did not get out of the restaurant until 8:30. We know that the bartender recognized how painful it was and he really was working hard. What is so frustrating is when it’s very clear to everyone how slow the kitchen is but the restaurant is not acknowledging it. Really, all it would have taken was for the staff to acknowledge how long it was taking the food to come out, apologize and comp a drink. We weren’t in a huge rush but just sitting there without acknowledgement is so frustrating. There were two other customers next to us who visit Ogunquit frequently and were even more frustrated that we were. Ultimately the food was very good and there were many other items on the menu I would like to try. Given our experience tonight, however, we’ll try our luck elsewhere.

This makes me so sad, because I have always loved Cornerstone. I grew up in Ogunquit and like everyone was thrilled to see this restaurant go in on the corner. It was a busy weekend(Christmas by the Sea) and having spent many a decade working in restaurants/food service myself, I want to understand the dismissive ness of the host. When we asked the wait for a table, we were breezily told(minus eye contact) that it was 2 hours. In the time it took me to use the restroom and walk back out, he was telling another group of 4 it was one hour. So basically, it was a dismissal of my group, a «we don’t care about seating you.» In a way it was almost comical, since this is a very small town, it was almost novel to be anonymous. But it left a really bad taste in our mouths. The two stars are for the past experiences we have had there of delightful servers and yummy food. But it’s always eye opening to walk into a place«unknown» and see what the experience could be for a random party.

Great place to eat. Great variety of different style pizzas some out of the ordinary. Good choice of beer. Highly recommended will definitely go again.

Went to lunch during the off season expecting to grab a quick bite. Was seated immediately and ordered shortly thereafter. Our server was very personable and put the order in. However food took over 45 minutes to produce a basic wrap and caprese sandwich. Apparently the kitchen staff was short and couldn’t keep up with the lunchtime crowd. Our server was extremely apologetic and came by to check on us 4 times before the food came. Food was good… nothing spectacular and pricey for the portions given. We don’t blame our server at all, but wonder if we’ll come back due to the extremely slow service. Management should know not to seat patrons if the kitchen can’t handle the number of customers.

Great pizza! We had the Not So Traditional Margherita. Delicious! Great selections and everything is made to order. Nice atmosphere and right in the middle of town.

Awesome place! We came on a cold rainy day and it was warm and dry inside. Great tap selection! All the beers we had were really good. Lots of local options. The waitress brought the table next to us a sample of something they were interested in. Great bottle and can selection too. Amazing pizza. We got the market sausage mushroom and loved it. The topping ratio was dead on. The crust was a nice thin crust cooked to perfection in their brick oven. This is not your typical fast food pizza. It is truly artisanal style and delicious! Their menu specifies that most pizzas can be made gluten free is you need that!

Best. Pizza. Ever! The staff is very friendly. The atmosphere is very cool. It’s a combination of rustic meets industrial. The have reused old antique doors to cover the bar, and yes ladies, they kept the door knobs on for a place to hang your purse. The light fixtures use Edison bulbs which are very cool. It is located right smack dab in the middle of Ogunquit so you have a birds-eye view of the center if you sit outside which makes for great people watching. All in all this is one of my favorite restaurants EVER!

The restaurant we wanted was closed and one of the servers recommended this joint. First, there is only on-street parking which took me 20 minutes circling to wait for a space. The Caesar salad was huge, fresh and pretty good. The waitress was very personable. Since they had no lobster, we asked the waitress her advice. She said the chicken parm was great and the seafood stew was very good. The chicken parm was one of the worst I ever ate. Dry, under-sauced with overcooked ziti. The seafood stew was heavy on tiny mussels and light on scallops and halibut. I thought the prices were a tad high for the quality. Can you say tourist cash grab?

Sweet baby Jesus! This place is awesome! Now, this is fancy pizza, it’s not your regular pizza joint if you want that, go elsewhere. But, if you want melt in you mouth, I count believe this is real, i want more but haven’t even worked through this slice, maybe we should come back for more tomorrow good, then this IS your joint. My husband and I came here via Unilocal. We had a not so great experience the night before at a different restaurant(Hamburger Harry’s – avoid and ignore high Unilocal rating) that was rated very well on Unilocal. We hoped this place wasn’t another high starred place with poor food. Luckily those high stars were legit! My husband and I ordered 1 pizza, half mushroom with sausage and the other half the lobster pizza. We waited about 15 – 20 minutes(not terrible) and were so excited when the food arrived. The mushroom and sausage is tasty and not messy. But the stand out really is the lobster pizza. It’s been days and I’m still thinking of it. Consider it the crack of pizza. They’re not cheap either, nice big chunks of lobster meat drizzled with a yummy mayo sauce. Take it from a NYer, go eat pizza here! It’s definitely worth it.

Just in the corner on main street. Perfect for a beer and pizza. We stop with my husband and try weihenstephan — light beer and he had smuttynose one, slice of pepperoni and perfect ambient for close the night.

The most happening dinner spot in Ogunquit. Get there early or else there may be an hour+ wait. With that said, it’s fun to wander while you wait. Once seated, treat yourself to a Dark ‘n Stormy. Might I add, this ain’t your older brother’s cocktail. Rather, it’s a spicy variation it brought to you by Maine Root’s Ginger Beer. Insanely good. As for the pizza, it’s to your liking. Thin and perfectly cooked. My fav is to go sweet and spicy: Fig and chicken on ½ and Sriracha chicken on the other. Sooooooo yummy! Enjoy.

This is a great location and good food. The pizza was very tasty; thin crispy crust and a nice red sauce. The pretzel was tasty, but I was expecting a slightly larger one for the money. Meatball app was awesome. It was a family outing with two adult and three young kids. Service was friendly and helpful. Molly was amazing. My kids introduced themselves after she gave her name. She called my kids by name for the rest of dinner; that was impressive. The stuffed haddock was very nice. The steak tips were grilled nicely, meat was tender. I would recommend eating here for the service alone.

My wife and I had the cheese pizza. It was outstanding! Excellent sauce and very fresh cheese. Crust was real gooooood! Was enough for two but barely. If you are a big eater you will need two. Price a bit steep at $ 17.00.

It was moderately crowded around 6PM on a Saturday but we still had a choice of indoor or outdoor seating. I was immediately disappointed to find that the sandwiches on the menu online are not on the dinner menu in person, and the prices are a bit off(higher) for some items – it was a bit of an awkward moment when we were deciding if we should leave or try to find something more affordable. Minus 1 star for the misleading online menu leading to that awkward moment. We ended up deciding to split a the«Not-so-Traditional Margherita» pizza(roasted herb tomatoes, bufala mozzarella, EVOO, basil). It came in 10 – 15 minutes and was delicious. The pizzas are rectangular and cut into 8 square pieces. The crust was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the highlight was the mozzarella cheese. The pizza tasted like amazing cheesy bread, but I wasn’t a huge fan of the roasted tomatoes. Aside from the misleading online menu, service and food was good and the atmosphere is very hip. They’re located right in the center hub of Ogunquit so outside is good for people watching! I would want to come back for lunch for their reasonably priced hot or cold sandwiches.

Pizza and beer, Beer and pizza. The two were meant for one another. At Cornerstone Artisanal Pizza & Craft Beer in Ogunquit, the pairings are a step above the usual cheese, or pepperoni and sausage(which they have). How about Cajun-rubbed BBQ pork and red cabbage? The slow-roasted pork, with tangy BBQ sauce was excellent. The red cabbage, however, really made this extra special, as it seems to draw out the pork’s smokiness. The dough is hand-tossed, and the pizzas are cooked in a wood stone oven that is the center of Chef Trip Rouillier’s open kitchen. They offer a wide selection of other pizza combos, including vegetarian(and gluten free crust), as the centerpiece of the menu is the pizza(and the craft beers). They have plenty of Maine/New England brewers, like Oxbow and Bunker Brewing. Maine Beer Co., and Gritty’s, along with Woodstock Inn Brewery on tap, and national craft brews in the bottle, like Unita, Sixpoint, and Evil Twin among many others. Where this gets docked a star is the service. It’s still April and while a busy Saturday late lunch was in process when we showed up, there does seem to be some confusion about appetizers coming out before the pizza, beers showing up that were ordered, and waitresses checking back with you after your food comes out. If April is spotty on service, I can only imagine when the tourists descend on this historic seaside village in June and July. All in all, a worthy place to grab a pizza, drink beer, and yes, people watch from the patio.

Spending the day in Ogunquit. First time here and what a great little town. Cornerstone is right on the main drag so none of that off the beaten path stuff here. You can’t miss it. It’s Right on Main & Beach. Convenience is probably going to be the biggest draw here because we found a totally lackluster experience and there are several reasons for that but I’m going to start off with the biggest no no in the restaurant world, which for me would be instant iced tea. Why would you do that to an unsuspecting public? You would not serve instant coffee and try to pawn it off as the real thing, would you? Problem for you is I can smell this stuff from 100 yards. I can see it coming from afar. Don’t think you’ve pulled the wool over my eyes because I’ve been around the block one too many times. OK, that didn’t sound good but you know. One of he best attributes is the light, open, airy, atmosphere. There was a chill in the air today so even though the patio was open for business, it wasn’t an option for us. We chose an inside seat as close to the pizza oven as we could get without actually sitting at the bar. Great view and perfect for people watching. If you’re a vegetarian or a wannabe, forget this one because the menu options are limited. You’ll need to settle for one of the salads which is what I did. My mate had the meatballs which he said were delicious. Because of that positive little note you get 2 stars because normally instant iced tea equals an automatic 1. I had the Winter salad which was pretty good as salads go. I have no complaints except that even with the salad and the mozzerella cheese plate, I left there kind of hungry. If only there was a GF veggie option on the pizza. Value comes into question. Now for the service. I can only say that it left a lot to be desired. My tea glass sat empty(yes, even though it was instant I wanted a refill) as did my mate’s coffee mug. Eventually he had to ask but for me, I guess the server saw my empty glass and asked if I wanted a refill, which I opted for, of course. He was friendly enough but i found him inattentive, never returning to ask us how we were doing. I don’t ask for much. Next trip we’ll be opting to try others, leaving this one to the tourists.

Good beer and local ciders. Meh food. Pretty sweet location tucked between the beach and the main little strip. Loved the patio, just wasn’t wow’ed by the food. I had a fruit salad for $ 9 and it included two sets of fruit– a fruit salad with watermelon, honeydew, and cantaloupe, and this mixture had to have been 3 – 4 days old. The juice was sour and had gone bad. Then, on top, there was a freshly sliced banana, ½ a mango, and a thick slice of watermelon. THIS fruit was fresh, and I am confused why they even included the older fruit on the plate. For sure wasn’t worth the $ 9 but we had to order food in order to sit on the patio. I’ll probably opt to check out another location in this area before coming back.
