We ate here about 6 years ago and didn’t realize they moved down the street from their original location. I almost turned around because I couldn’t find them, but long story short, I did and we went in and had a delish breakfast! Husband ordered fried eggs, chorizo sausage, home fries and toast. He loved his meal. I had the Irish eggs benedict(eggs benny are my fave) and the homemade corned beef hash was the best I ever had. Huge pieces of shredded corned beef, the real deal! And the home fries were perfectly cooked. Make sure you use the restrooms when you go because they have a salt scrub for your hands that magically make them so smooth and soft. It’s incredible! So of course I bought a jar in their gift shop. Go here for breakfast when you’re in the area.

Love! Best corned beef hash. Big chunks of corned beef with potatoes. Definitely homemade and worth the wait.

Best breakfast in Ogunquit! You’ll probably have to wait a little while for a table during peak season, but it’s definitely worth the wait! Owner Leanne Cusimano is always on hand to make sure that you get seated in a timely manner and you can help yourself to a steaming mug of their delicious house blend coffee while you’re waiting. If you prefer a savory breakfast, I highly recommend any of their very creative and super tasty«Benedicts», or maybe one of their delicious omelettes, made with 3 eggs and brimming with your choice of fillings. Either way, you won’t be disappointed! If however, you happen to be craving a little something on the sweeter side for breakfast, you MUST try the house special Black or Blue French Toast! Their homemade lemon bread is griddled to perfection and filled with tangy-sweet cream cheese, then topped with your choice of either fresh ripe blackberries or blueberries… It’s nothing short of heaven on a plate! The Hubbs loves their Bananas Foster French Toast, too! We’ve been enjoying Amore’s incredible food and relaxed atmosphere from the days when they were located in a tiny little building at the entrance to Perkins Cove and we hope to start our vacation mornings off with them, for many years to come!

This is my favorite breakfast restaurant in ogunquit. I’ve never been disappointed. The service is friendly and the food is wonderful. My favorite dish is the Black or Blue– lemon bread cream cheese stuffed French toast with black berries or blueberries(or both). They also have great waffles, muffins, home fries, and Benedicts. The location is also prime. It is walking distance from perkins cove. There is also free parking behind the restaurant.

In relation to the other choices in and around Ogunquit, Café Amore has no equal. Great food, unique ambiance, and generally good staff. I typically get the omelet special and have yet to be disappointed. Perfectly cooked, over flowing with ingredients but just the right amount of cheese. The Bacon Waffles, Irish Benedict and Bananas Foster are also excellent choices. My wife usually goes for the French Toast special and also always leaves happy. If your version of breaking fast is a few slices of egg battered white bread, a generic pancake or a flavorless hollandaise then you’ll probably want to go elsewhere. On the other hand if you enjoy a flavorful, creative and fresh tasting meal first thing in the a.m., then you simply must hit up Café Amore!

Stopped in for a quick cappuccino to carry with me on walk on The Marginal Way and had to wait a few minutes for someone to take my order but the cappuccino was hot and tasty! Just what I needed to warm me up on a cool morning!

What a terrific find!!! We were warmly greeted when we arrived at this very cute restaurant. The portions were appropriate and delicious. My hash was excellent. Parking in Ogunquit can be a problem, but the restaurant had parking behind the building. It may not be obvious but is there.

Great breakfast spot. We love the cappucinos and their«Be Still My Heart» breakfast special with the potato pancakes– try it with tomatoes.

We attempted to have breakfast here today. When we arrived, no one was at the door, several empty tables and at the counter. We went and sat at the counter as typically in most restaurants, they don’t take your name for the counter. The woman who was apparently the hostess came up to my gf and me several minutes later and said the people on the waiting list were ready to take their seats at the counter. We apologized, said we didn’t know and put our name in to wait for a table. We were told it would be a 25 minute wait. We took a seat outside. 45 minutes to an hour later we are still waiting with other people who arrived later seeming to get seated. I went and asked the hostess how much longer it would be. There were still many tables with no one sitting. She said we were the next round, they were just waiting for patrons to pay and leave. I went to wait again with my gf. After another couple was called who i know arrived after us, was seated, we left. Whomever the hostess was today should find another job. She seemed pissed at us from our initial mistake and was pretty rude from that point on. She does not have an engaging personality for the hospitality business. Perhaps the owners don’t care as they have been in this location for years and can survive on their reputation. We will never try again.

Café Amore is very cute and our eggs Benedict was perfect. We did have an extremely long wait and I think it would create a lot of goodwill to offer free coffee while waiting although I was willing to buy a cup inside.

Great breakfast spot with a 1960’s diner motif. Love coming here when we vacation in Ogunquit. All the usual breakfast fare. We will be back.

I don’t know how good this is… Because they wouldn’t allow bringing in my own coffee. I just don’t get how a profit making business will turn away business because of this rule. Too bad for them. I’ll be spending my money elsewhere.

Had a cappuccino while we waited for a seat at Amore Breakfast. I wish it tasted like a cappuccino. Very bummed. Still searching for decent coffee in Ogunquit.

Service was slow, atmosphere was very diner“esk”. Great place for a quick tourist meal but didn’t feel like a true local experience. On the plus side, the food was pretty good. One time deal, won’t be making any effort to return.

What a great place for breakfast! It was a rainy Sunday morning and with our dreams of sailing squashed, we decided to enjoy a nice breakfast close by. It was pretty busy, as expected, but we were able to order from the café shop and have a cup of coffee(or a cappuccino in my case) while we waited. The menu offered a wide variety of breakfast options all while sticking to its roots offering lobster and crab with your eggs. I opted for the eastern eggs benedict which was smoked salmon, tomato, red onion, cream cheese and capers. It was absolutely delicious! Homefries came on the side which were cooked well but nothing to rant and rave about. My boyfriend had an omelet with your typical ingredients of bacon, potatoes, onion and cheese. The homemade blueberry jam for the toast was his favorite part(which they also sell in their little café store). I am a big sucker for mimosas and bloody mary’s at breakfast and while I did not enjoy one this time around I will give them 5 stars because of it. There is a large patio outside and with parking available in the back and close to Perkins Cove, I will definately revisit Café Amore!

café amore is not only sweetly attired and well appointed for a lovely breakfast experience, the food was spectacular… and surprisingly like most breakfast places the coffee was not brown water!!! I also appreciate their commitment to outreach in the community and beyond… as evidenced by their fundraiser for the Dominica orphanage… a nice touch for a family restaurant.

Since Café Amore has a different menu and is physically separate from Amore Breakfast(which is next door), I felt it was inappropriate to write my review for Amore Breakfast. I have never eaten at the breakfast restaurant, so I can only comment on the lunch I had at their coffee/sandwich shop. I was pleasantly surprised at how extremely good their simple selection of food was. I was starving and just looking for something decently edible to get me through the day while sightseeing in Ogunquit, but what I found at Café Amore was exceptional and truly surprised me. I ordered a roast-beef sandwich and was quite skeptical when making the order since I often have digestive problems eating meat. The place is primarily a coffee bar and there weren’t many people there despite the fact it was a beautiful summer weekend so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Well, the meat and other ingredients were so incredibly fresh that I absolutely loved my meal. The staff was also super nice. When I asked for directions and some sightseeing tips, the owner came out and took the time go give us a tourist map, point out where to go, and did us a huge favor. Thank you so much for suggesting Marginal Way! It was a wonderful experience walking along the cliffs. The place itself is cute and looked very clean. There is not too much seating inside but there are tables and a few umbrellas outside as well which was nice on a hot day. All I know is that if I ever come to visit Ogunquit again, I will definitely be grabbing a bite here for lunch.
