Delighted! Been coming to Ogunquit for years and this location — right up the street from the beach is great — unfortunately the food has never been on par. Was always a place for a drink by the fire but not to eat. New owners took over last fall and I am delighted that we tried the food last night –service and food were great! Smoked pesto chicken sandwich and the Beachfire burger, hand cut fries. Prices are great! Great service.(Kelsea)This will be a regular spot this summer!

One of my favorite places! We have a summer home in the area and this is our go-to bar. They have the best mixed drinks and friendliest staff around(in addition to a great and constantly hanging selection of beer). The bar area is very cozy and the late night menu is on point-try the fried pickles! I was very excited this year when they chose to stay open through the winter!

Came up with a group of 8 for our annual off season weekend stay. As seasonal residents, Beachfire is our usual go to establishment. Nick and Chuck are awesome bartenders. Was excited to hear new management were upgrading menu. Food was A++ No disappointment there Only gripe was the mandated music in bar area. Way too mellow jazz for our liking. In the past the music choices was much more contemporary and in tune with bar atmosphere at a comfortable level. Seems it would not be difficult to have a 2 zone system where dining room could have the more appropriate jazz and different genre at bar area. Otherwise would have given 5 stars

Went here for st. Patrick’s day last night. Service was great, the nacho appetizer me and my girlfriend ordered could feed a village, steak and ribs were fantastic, will definitely be back next time we are in Maine

Went on a Sunday, off season. They ran out of a few things, but still decent food. The spinach artichoke dip is fantastic.

The atmosphere gets all the stars from me. There is nothing like warming up with hot cup of spiked cider, and watching open flames of outdoor firepit, with conversation going about everything you hold dearly, and just unrelated banter… Loved it to bits, it’s incredibly warm and relaxing. Waitress was friendly, food came fast — munching on fried pickles & fish and chips — simple food done right.(seriously, get those pickles — they are *that* good. But wait a bit, as they made fresh and super hot!). Lobster-topped nachos were scrumptious too — they do not skimp on lobster meat for sure. Happiness.

Agreeing with the chorus. This place is a solid 2-stars. Pros: the fire pit is a nice concept and selling point for a chilly Maine evening. Decently made cocktails. Cons: said cocktails are very $$$, nearing Manhattan prices. Food is subpar… burnt hamburger, and my chicken dinner portion was at most 2oz in size, not to mention overcooked and rubbery. Save your money and time and skip this place.

Head-turning pulled pork nachos big enough for four people and creamy must try mussels! Can’t wait to return!

Great service, wonderful choice of seating. Had the sirloin that was cooked to perfection and seasoned the best I’ve had in a long time. Kind of noisy but it is a pub atmosphere. I highly recommend this place.

Just a standard nothing fancy menu, but with outrageous prices for what you get. Literally can get their equivalent or same dinner items at any restaurant for easily half(or less!) price elsewhere. I think the draw is the bonfire, but in all honesty this place is just a tourist trap for people looking to waste money.

We went to Beachfire despite the less than great Unilocal reviews and was as disappointed as those who previously reviewed. Bad service. Wouldn’t seat us even though there were plenty of empty tables around because the chef had gotten behind and so many people were waiting on their food. Expensive!!! So pricey for no reason. My burger was burnt to a crisp despite asking for it medium. The fried pickles and onion rings were good and that’s the only reason for giving this place 2 stars. There are way better places in ogunquit… go elsewhere with your time and money.

Fire pit caught our eye, so we decided to give it a try after a visit to Footbridge Beach. Caught the Happy Hour wings and margaritas, both were very good. Nachos with buffalo chicken were awesome! Kelsea provided us with great service.

This was ok. Been a couple of times. Food is average, happy hour is good. The fire pit is cool but there are a lot of other choices in the area.

I’ve ate here 2x and they’re alright. Food is $$$ Drinks are $$$ and inconsistent Heard about broken equipment and not enough proper drink glasses at the bar. Not my problem. It seemed like they rather limit seating outside. I had the chicken parm the second time, was great, big portion and would prefer a smaller portion if it meant that the price wouldn’t be so high.

Hands down favorite bar in Ogunquit! Not too sure what the negative reviewers are talking about. I’ve never had a bad experience here. Drinks are great and the food is good too. Nachos and wings are my favorites but the entrees are delicious as well. Definitely stop by next time you’re in Maine.

Not impressed. Overpriced for sub par food and service. They claim to have fresh food and great service. Food tasted as if it were from a can or pre done. No attention to detail. Burnt out app, lettuce was wet and main course left a lot to be desired. Service was average. Nothing above or beyond. Had to ask for drinks and napkins. Waitress didn’t try to have or hold a conversation. Seemed rushed for being slow. Also the fire kept going out. What’s the name Beachfire mean without fire?

Good meal and very good ambiance. Went there on Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. No wait to get in. Waiter and host were very friendly and accommodating. Food was better than average; good BBQ(for Maine). We each got a drink(strawberry mojito and local seasonal brew). Both were okay, nothing special.

I really wanted to like this place more. The giant flaming fire pit out front had caught my eye many times as I drove by while visiting the area. I imagined myself enjoying a glass of wine by the warm fire. A drink by the fire is pretty much the best this restaurant has to offer. The fire pit is a great concept, but I feel the food is just okay. It is disappointing because this restaurant could have so much potential. There are some tables outdoors for dining and some chairs postioned around the firepit. The chairs are limited and offered on a first come first serve basis. We visited the restaurant on a chilly night so dining indoors was necessary, but planned to order a drink by the fire before leaving. The atmosphere inside the restaurant has a somewhat contemporized rustic feel and is very cozy. The Beach Fire menu consists of a variety of chicken, steak, and seafood dishes. I tend to order seafood while traveling in Maine, so I started with a clam chowder and ordered the mussel appetizer as my entrée. I really did not think it was possible to go wrong with mussels, however I was not a fan of the feta based sauce. It was heavy, chalky, and did not compliment the shellfish. The chowder was thick with a generous amount of clams, but had an odd flavor. I prefer more butter to spices in my chowder so it just seemed to miss the mark for me. My friends had barbeque chicken sandwiches which they enjoyed. Perhaps the barbecue dishes may be more of a specialty at Beach Fire. After dinner the firepit area was fully occupied so we had to resort to seats at the bar indoors instead. We were very pleased with the friendliness and service from the bartender named Chuck. He told us he had been working at the restaurant for some time and my friends and I agreed he was an asset to the establishment. This restaurant may be a decent choice depending upon the dish you order or if you are looking to take advantage of relaxing by the fire with a drink. Otherwise I feel the area has a lot more to offer for better dining alternatives.

Stopped by on a Saturday night around 9 for dinner and drinks. Wanted to eat outside since the whole reason we stopped was due to the large firepit, but was told that it was first come first serve outside and there was no seating. So, we went inside for a bit to order dinner. Food was ok bar food, nothing great for the price. Waited for a little bit and then headed back outside. Some people finally left so we were able to grab 3 chairs by the firepit. Nice concept and relaxing. Downfall is that they don’t check to see who is ordering drinks as you go inside to order them, so there is not a good turnover of chairs to get a seat around the fire pit. Drinks were good. Large menu to choose from. To sum it up, «ok» food, good drinks and very limited seating around the fire pit with minimal turnover of chairs. When you get there, they will tell you it’s first come first serve. And to note, you can’t eat around the firepit. Only drinking is allowed.
