I have mixed feelings about my experience at The Barrelhouse. While they have a good beer selection on paper, they were out of the first three beers I ordered and I eventually just asked the waiter to bring me a stout that he recommended that they actually had available. It’d be awesome if they’d restock their menu, though the beer that was brought out did turn out to be satisfactory, even if I didn’t get to order my faves. The space is pretty large and comfortable with some sofas and other comfy-looking seats rather than just tables and chairs, unfortunately, it had a bunch of tipsy, annoying girls who were watching videos on their phones(at full volume) while playing pool and then screaming at the top of their lungs whenever they would sink a ball. I’d swear my ears started ringing at one point. The food is pretty decent, brought down from the Craftburger upstairs and it was pretty dang tasty(though I decided to stay away from the calamari). I would go back, though I’d sit as far away as possible from any girls playing pool next time.

Their selection of beers for being a bar in Utah is fantastic! The bartenders are very helpful. The food however is not that impressive. All the food is from the CraftBurger upstairs. My wife and I got Calamari and Loaded Irish Fries. The fries were okay. The Calarmari however, was rubber.

Ha. Well. Good selection of beer, but they were out of half of what we wanted, so always have a back-up. Food was okay. Sunday day bartenders talking shit on every other person who works here was kind of hilarious, albeit super unprofessional.

Very nice. Great place to get out of the sun after a day outside. Cool, comfortable, spacious but cozy. Wait staff was fabulous! Beer… Oh yeah talking dirty! Great selection, started of with a great tasting Sockeye seasonal Maibock. Served in a proper, cold glass. Definitely recommend. Will come again for sure!

First time here, I will try it again for a second chance but here are the first impressions. I wanted to love this place. They had a good scene with games downstairs and good beer, a great place to hang out and take friends. The service was TERRIBLE. Our waitress took the drink order for ½ our table skipped two of us took the next persons order then left. The basics of waitressing is going around the table and asking everyone what they would like. How do you accidentally skip two people take another one then skip someone else? It’s really not a difficult concept. She then forgot the other peoples drinks. She came back to ask about food and we had to ask to have our drink order started. Then the food was wrong. We ordered fries got chips, ordered no bun it came with it, the burger was raw in the middle, like really raw. Everyone liked the burgers but thought the serving of fries was a bit on the skimpy side. The waitress then forgot one of our friends food order. An hour and a half later they brought it. I am not exaggerating 1.5 hours after we got there he got his food. I had ordered 4 beers and ate my meal before he even got his. I asked for ketchup they brought it after we were done eating. One of our friends only ordered one beer the whole time we were there. Between the food confusion and the complete disappearance of our waitress I guess the order was forgotten about. The co-owner was there and did attempt to fix the situation by comping all of our food which definitely helped. We weren’t going to ever go back but after his gesture we will give it another shot I will tell you though if we get the same waitress we are asking for someone else, that girl is in the wrong line of work.

Craft beer fans, rejoice. We finally have an Ogden home. It’s in the basement of a dance club/burger joint… but it’s awesome. Over 100 bottles, and 12 taps. I have been going since they opened in November ’14. It’s been about 4 months, and they’ve already subbed out 4 different taps. They’ve also had a few events with local breweries. Not bad, considering most people are still just barely learning about this place. They have everything a beer nerd could want. Proper glassware for different styles, consistently updated beer menus, really cool wood décor, pool tables, shuffleboard, darts, many TVs with sports on. Nice big bar that is starting to fill up with customers even on weekdays now. It would be nice if they would create a website with a live taplist and bottle selection. No food ordering requirement! Although they do partner with the burger joint upstairs, you are not forced to order any. Oh, and the bartenders are perfect. Especially Andrew, Dave and Goose. Passionate, career beer guys. Very knowledgeable but not pretentious at all. They love helping folks find a beer that they will enjoy. If you like craftbeer, it’s a certainty that you’ll love The Barrelhouse and revisit often. Have the Santa Fe Java Stout if you want your mind blown.

Very ambitious in a area that it seems hard to think out of the box. Demographics along with a limited crowd that would plop down $$ for a unique cocktail and or craft beer. They do have a very large menu of different styles of brew. Nice game room to accommodate the pool and foosball crowd Good date nite place to hang in sleepy Ogden food is served as well from warrens craft burgers. Excellent combo

Barrelhouse is amazeballs! We were shocked and excited after walking downstairs from Century Club /Warren’s Craftburger in Ogden a few weeks back and into a craft beer paradise. Now don’t get me wrong, I am happy to drink a Bud or a Keystone at a party or hanging around the house but there is a time and place for those brews. This place is something special. There was narry a PBR, Coors or Bud Light anywhere in sight and we were greeted by a barkeep who was obviously way ahead of the game. He looked the look and knew his shit. I was so happy to be able to chat with this man about local breweries both in and around Utah as well as outside the state. It really was a breath of fresh air. While we talked to this guy, we enjoyed a couple of the various and delicious beers they had both in bottles and on tap! Anchor Steam and a couple ales from Epic in SLC… Yes please! Still no bottles from Unibroue or Dogfish Head but he said they are working on it. Also a great selection of local liquors from right there in Ogden as well as Sugarhouse and Park City distilleries. You would never guess that you were in a basement bar in Ogden, UT. with these beer and liquor choices available and this knowledgeable bartender. If you are around these parts and are craving a delicious beer or nice cocktail made with local liquors, get your ass in here and check it out. You will be glad you did!

Go down stairs. All craft beers, you want a bud light, coors light go upstairs. Bartender was so nice and knew his beer! For sure coming back!
