it wasn’t bad! Decent Mongolian stir fry. I think I’ve had better, but it was worth experiencing once.

Awesome food. You get to pick what meats, vegetables and sauces. So much food and sooooo good! The owner is such a nice guy. He will walk you through how everything works and explain what the best options are. I loved it! My husband also forgot his glasses and while we were leaving, the owner was walking out to find us and flagged us down to give them back. AWESOME customer service and awesome food. We will definitely be back.

The food is delicious and authentic. The wontons were absolutely amazing, some of the best I have ever had. Easily one of the best Mongolian restaurants around.

Great food. I love it. Downside. Not all kids like to go here. It’s more for adults in my opinions.

We Walked in, seen what people were eating… not much. Looked at the menu… noticed we could only get chicken? But I felt like having beef. Then I noticed the prices… kinda high for only one pass thru. No one seemed to have much in their already small bowl. We sat down to ponder. I thought I am pretty hungry and that might barely fill me up but I don’t think that I would be satisfied settling for that price. Before the waitress could bring us water, we left that place in the freakin dust! Don’t get me wrong, I was hungry but I’m not about to eat what they want me to eat at that price. I want to want to have more options. I enjoy eating out and I can tell you just by looking at this place, there is better grub out there! Wooo so its on the main drag. Listen to your taste buds people and go after some good food. Oh yeah don’t forget to Unilocal it, so we can all find it. Most of all be honest to yourself and don’t settle for slop. Remember, you work hard to make that money your about to spend, on food from someone who should know how to cook it. I think you get the point… Um, sorry for ranting. Im just tired of people trying to sell and shove crap down my throat.

This place is fantastic. The servers are great and the food is delicious. Clearly they are doing something right having been here 37 years. It’s on of those hole in the wall places that we need to keep around.

A friend recommended we stop here and I’m so glad we did. Our waitress explained the menu very well and was extremely friendly. The food was delicious and priced very reasonable. Definitely enjoyed the wonton chips! New favorite spot in the area.

I was thinking the other day that it had been a while, a good long while since I’d had a good Mongolian BBQ and after hitting up this place shortly after, it looks like the drought will continue. Ordering and basically the movement in this place is really funky(though the line moved pretty fast, probably mostly because the actual cook time on the grill was under what it should have been), but that fits right in with the building itself being funky on the exterior and inside(men’s bathroom placement is like in a maze). Parking is no less of an oddity, but on the day I went here, I really wanted Mongolian. Service is interesting. Waitress was very engaging up front, then flat-out ignored me for quite a bit of the time(apparently this is normal and expected here) until I finally made enough hint overtures for her to wander back over. I think my expectations, based on how places act in Salt Lake, were probably higher than normal for this place. She was friendly and tried very hard to be helpful, which was kind of her. If you’ve been to any Mongolian place, you know how it works. If not, it’s basically load up a bowl with various meats and vegetables and in this case, cold spaghetti and cover it in sauces, which is then fried on a circular grill. In this place, the bowls are pre-loaded with chicken only for lunch(wrong) and it’s only one pass. As Tony has mentioned, this then becomes very expensive for what you actually get, considering every other one I’ve been to, without exception, is AYCE. The choices of meat are also very slight here, comparatively. I suppose if it was really good, I wouldn’t have a complaint, but it wasn’t. It was very average, very heavily Americanized Mongolian BBQ, as you probably would reasonably expect for this area. I made the sauce the house way, which was ok, but the actual frying was below par and there was no possibility of adding extra heat… until you get to the tables. Kudos for them having a homemade chili oil sauce and a quite good one. I took advantage of this to a pretty healthy degree. It could not, however, save the egg drop soup, which was inedible. Rice was solid, as was the green tea and too late, I noted they had Diet Mt. Dew on tap, all points in their favor. After my one bowl, I was still feeling a bit light and noticed they had sesame balls. Perfect! Except… perhaps bowing to the area, they came coated in powdered sugar and cinnamon as well as chocolate(Hershey’s) and caramel. If you order these, get them plain, but know going in that they’re not right. I get it; the area, blah blah blah. If I ever get the craving again while I’m in the area — and it would have to be an irresistible craving — I might go in again, but there’s just not enough there for me to be much interested in repeating.

I’ve been coming here for almost 27 years. I love the simplicity of the menu, the good food, and the sweet people who work here as well as the amazing owners. The egg rolls are more uniform in shape now, but still awesome. I miss the old pocket bread, but I still enjoy everything else. Mix up the sauces and try different mixes, you will love it! Use pineapple juice instead of the sweet sauce for a different kick. Great for groups or dates. You can even come in and pick up an order to go!

Honestly, I really do not get this place. The place was considered small for a restaurant. The exterior made them even look smaller from the outside. The service was the standard Asian attitude. Basically it was same the one I went to in Layton, they have less food choices here, and you are only limited to one bowl, while the other one is AYCE. Extra bowl will cost more, so everyone here piled their bowl like mountain size, as seen in many pictures. Sauces were the standard ones, so if yours does not taste right, it would your own fault. I believe they need more varieties and better suggest here. Rather than putting the food on a plate, they put them in a bowl at the end. Lee’s Mongolian is one of the two Mongolian grill places in this area, and the other one is in Layton. It was definitely worse in term of what you get, and service was about the same. Location was probably the only good thing if you are in Ogden area. I guess you could come here if you like to pay more for less?

Like so many others from the area, my friends and family have eaten here since we were small. Other Mongolian BBQ places have come and gone and some local Chinese restaurants have tried to add Mongolian BBQ to their menu but none can ever match Lee’s. Great Mongolian BBQ is all they do and they do it best! The egg rolls have changed like others mentioned but they are still okay. What you are really here for is the chicken /beef /pork and noodles you love so much! Family owned forever and you are made to feel like family whenever you show up… Check out Lee’s if you never have and you wont be disappointed!

Let the run down neighborhood be a sign this is good stuff! The inside is clean and the food is delicious. People that complain about the«lack of options» don’t know how to do Mongolian right. The egg rolls aren’t as good as they were 20+ years ago, but they are bigger. The lobster sauce is an acquired taste, go easy on it your first times. But ask for their sweet and sour sauce and put it in your bowl when back at the table! Coke and Pepsi products to suit all preferences Lee is almost always there and will gladly assist noobies. «The more meat the better the bowl.» he usually says. Just pay the dollar for the AYCE and don’t try to stack your bowl to the sky. If that dollar makes or breaks your budget and the amount of food you think you deserve in one bowl, just stick with your dollar menu at the fast food joint you deserve.
