THEFLYINGBUFFALO!!! Every single time I go to this place(and I go often) I tell myself I’m going to try something new! And EVERY single time, I go with the flying buffalo. Imagine this… Buffalo chicken, DRENCHED in your choice of ranch or bleu cheese! I enjoy this sandwich so much that I get one to eat there & order another one to-go. This is hands down one of my very favorite places in northern Utah! If you take only one thing from this review, take this… FLY!!! FLYWITHTHWBUFFALOMYFRIENDS! YOUWONTREGRETIT!

These guys land somewhere between a 3 and a 4 with me, depending on the visit. The best part about the place is that it’s independent and it does things it’s own way. I like that but it also means that some of the things they serve come off as less than polished. Prices are reasonable. Service is great. All in all, I would recommend it if you tend to like independent burger/sandwich shops. I wish them great and continued success.

The décor sucks but their breakfast burritos are my favorite! I love the Marsha Marsha burrito’s hashbrowns and spinach!

I’m writing this review a week and a half after I ate here telling the story of being on vacation and craving this place(the struggle of being 600 miles away from the nearest gridelis is real)… I got the Philliecheese and my wife got the Cajun north worth equally amazing!

Very friendly service! I had the grilled veggie sandwich and the ranch fries(I wish they were garlic fries:) it was delicious! The fry sauce was good. One step above is Bruge Waffles and Frites. I’m happy to come back and try the grilled pear salad or the souvlaki bowls.

We go here when we’re wanting a great burger. I’ve tried many of their burgers and sandwiches along with their breakfast burrito. This place never dissapoints. It doesn’t take very long to get your food, even when their busy. The fresh jalapeños you can get with your burger are so good. I love the mushroom burger and their Philly sandwich. Well I love everything! The buffalo fries are to die for and their fry sauce is out of this world. I could eat there every day!

REALLY good food! The hamburgers are so good. Can’t go wrong with a burger and soda here. The facility is generally clean and the employees are usually nice. The waiting time is long at times but it means they’re making your food fresh and tasty. If you’re planning on spending a minute to chill and eat, then you’ll love this place. It’s near the freeway and is close to some other great businesses in the area(like Walmart if you need to pick something up before heading home). I definitely recommend giving this place a try.

All the food I have tried here so far is AWESOME, but be prepared to wait. A long time. Whatever your expectations are for a walk in sandwich-salad shop are add at least 5 minutes. Today from the time printed on my ticket until the time I got my food, 20 minutes passed. Why do bad things happen to good food? Favorites here include the fries(any flavor) and the pear gorgonzola salad. The fries here are sort of half way between a steak fry and a «regular» fry. They’re nice and crisp, but have a great ratio of potato in the center. Their fry sauce is standard, but good. The salad is stuffed with all things good. They REALLY load up the cinnamon poached pears, gorgonzola, roasted pecans, and dried cranberries. I think they simply add tomatoes for the color, but I could take them or leave them for the flavor. Unfortunately, GriDeli’s DOES have some things working against it… I probably would never sit down to eat here. There isn’t a ton of seating and almost half of it ends up being crowded by the ordering and pickup counter. This also makes it a little weird when you’re waiting for a to-go order. As I mentioned before… the wait is not something I would endure everyday. While I do pop in occasionally for a work-time lunch, I always plan to eat in the office because of the time it takes. I’m not sure if they raised their prices recently, but most online prices don’t match their in-store prices. It’s still not too bad, especially if you’re good with just a salad or sandwich without sides or a drink, but it’s just a little deceiving. All-in-all, they’ve got good food, but are doing themselves a disservice in a few areas. Try it once or twice… maybe call and see if you can order ahead.

This place is hit n’ miss. Sometimes the sandwiches are made great, and sometimes the buns are soaking in grease. Service is moody, as in it depends on the mood of the employees. Fries are bit too salty; if not that, they seem burnt or fried to potato chip consistency. Look I like it cause it a gamble, 50⁄50 chance for a good sandwich. And it’s close to my house. When it’s made well, the cheese steaks are delicious! Grilled, provolone cheese(have to ask for it, american cheese ISNOT A CHEESE!). Also pay little extra and ask for double the meat and filling, see my pictures to why.

Spent $ 8.00 on their smoked brisket sandwich and couldn’t eat hardly any of it. I got it to go and a minute into my drive I pulled the sandwich out and the bun was already soggy. The brisket wasn’t flavored and there wasnt much of it to bite through. The pineapple was way too thick for a sandwich. The worst part was while I was waiting for my food I noticed the girl behind the counter making the salads only had one glove on. During this she pulls her phone out of her bra, changes music with her gloved hand, puts the phone back into her bra and continues to touch the salads. I know it was music cause she had one headphone dangling from her ear while taking my order. I may give this place a second chance but it definitely won’t be for take out.

The food is good, but I will never ever spend a cent after personally witnessed how the owner treated the girls working the grill, he appear to be very comfortable screaming at this girl for putting cheese on a burger, no employers should ever treat a employee with such behavior.

Love the Monster sized crazy breakfast burrito. Only complaint: they open at 8:30… Kinda late when heading out to work.

This is one of the best places to grab a burger in Ogden. Their ranch fries are amazing. They have the amazing crushed ice. The prices are high for a fast food type joint, but everything is always made fresh for your order. I’ve tried about half of the burgers and chicken sandwiches and so far every one has been amazing but my go-to is just a simple cheeseburger. *edit* They got rid of the delicious cubed/crushed ice. Bummer!

Food is good. Place needs to be revamped. Everything feels dirty and sticky. The one in farrwest is better.

Service is horrible. Took my family in last week. We have a lot of food allergies, and I’m sure we aren’t ideal to work with. However, they messed up our order 3 times and when we asked them to fix it, the staff behind the counter mocked my wife. When we asked if wheat was in their Ranch dressing(a common ingredient, unfortunately), the cashier didn’t know. He asked a lady in back if she knew the ingredients. She yelled: «no, and even if I did, I wouldn’t share them!» Then mumbled something about people always wanting to steal. To be impartial, the food is decent. However I’ll never go back– I spend about $ 3,000 a month in business catering and like to spend that on small, local places. Their(big) loss.

Back to update: tried the Gyro and it was good — average with great sauce and seasoned meat. Husband got the Big Nasty and it was monstrous and delicious. Almost too big to get a normal bite to enjoy, but tasty! Had friendlier service this time too.

I’ve been to Gridelis more than I like to admit. My husband loves the firecracker sandwich. I like everything pretty much. Big Nasty is great! Fry sauce is some of the best you can find! Owner is really nice.

LOVE this place. Huge sammiches for not bad of a price. I can’t wait to go back to try a different one. Their ranch fries are to die for. The people are super nice and it didn’t take very long to get our food! Plus they have siracha makes it that much better! Thanks guys. You are awesome!

Their breakfast burrito was a pleasant surprise of deliciousness! It came with all the fixings(eggs, cheese, bacon, potato, and sausage) and was reasonably priced for how big and stuffed it was! Only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star is because it did get a little greasy toward the end. Would recommend it to anybody in search for that quick and pleasant bite to start the day!
