If I could give no stars to this joke of a company, I would. I’ve had TruGreen for 2 years and I have to say, this company is one of the worst in customer service. I have their TruComplete service and their Hort treatment for my many trees on my property. Dealing with these people especially Service Calls that they themselves advertise hard as a selling point is a measure in futility. You are more likely to get more action out of molasses on a snowy January morning than get these people to budge an inch or honor their contracts. Full disclosure, I am a former Landscape Foreman with 10+ years of direct field experience with this sort of stuff. The fact that I pay someone else to do something I could easily do myself given my experience only says that I had expendable cash for such a service I never really needed. I was told that Alldredge was inferior to TruGreen but having been a former customer myself, and current TruGreen customer, I am inclined to call«lies» on that. Alldredge at least comes out when I have an issue. The only time a manager came to see me was some snobby guy with an attitude named Matt came knocking on my door. He had this air about him that I was wasting his time. Keep in mind I have a 35,000 square foot property they fertilize and aerated(the results of which are questionable at best — again given my knowledge of the chem they use) not to mention 31 trees and 46 shrubs of various types throughout my property. As you can see I spend plenty to maintain the appearance and health of my plants and trees. My thank you for this is being sent someone who looks like a reject from the Goon Squad. Never have I had a manager stand there with his reflective shades on, arms crossed and uninterested«Mmmhmm» answers to everything I ask or speak of. When I called in and complained about Matt, his manager said that he cannot believe Matt would do that and that maybe I’m mistaken or took his«bluntness» a different way. I’m sorry but I am a CEO of a company that knows his CEO personally and while I am not going to get him involved in this foolishness, I will say that his CEO talked me into the service and assured me that Midland branch is one of their best. I believed him and so far, I get the opposite. I get visited by seemingly clueless technicians who can’t even answer basic questions let alone manage to do a complete or decent job most of the time. That or conceited, arrogant managers come to my home and talk to me like I am some fool with no landscaping or horticulture experience. One technician, I will call him J, aerated my yard in the dead of summer. He handled my home and his job with respect and dignity and I will say, if not for my friendship with Robert Gillette and the workmanship of J, I would have cancelled this lousy excuse for service month 2. I would tell you to avoid TruGreen like your life depended on it but given any review this company seems to have over the years, you already know to do that. In case you have forgotten, don’t patronize or give this company and their lame management one more customer. Go to one of their rivals which will actually do the job they were paid to do and not send some bald-head snob to «give me a talking to».

The Midland/Odessa TruGreen franchise has terrible customer service! Something has happened to the management and philosophy of the Midland local franchise. I have been a customer for 5+ years and was satisfied with the service during the first 3. I don’t know what happened, but the service and follow through has become non existent. Use another local company and stay away from TruGreen in Midland. The following is my experience: Over the past year, I have had multiple«service calls» where the guy never showed up but they had the audacity to notate in my account that they did.(My wife stayed at home waiting for him/her on multiple occasions). I received multiple promises that the«manager» would call or be at my house within the hour or next day to «personally handle the situation to my satisfaction»…NEVERHAPPENED… NOTONCE! The only calls I would receive would be from the sales office trying to sell me new services. When I would tell them what has happened they would immediately apologize(The sales folks were very nice) and tell me that they would«personally» see to it that someone would contact me… NEVERHAPPENED! I am not difficult to work with, but when I pay $ 500/year for a service… I expect to at least get the service I paid for. I have a very pesky weed in my alley(Nightshade) that likes to creep into my yard. This weed is poisonous to animals and children, so naturally I wanted it dealt with. This ONEWEED is one of the primary reasons that I have a contract with Trugreen… it is even documented in my contract and on my customer service kept internal notes. I was told to call at the FIRSTSIGN of growth in my yard… SO I DID. I called when I saw 3 plants start to sprout. I was told they would be there the following Tuesday… NOSHOW. I call on Wednesday and they said the guy came… HEDIDNOT. They apologized and said he would return the following Tuesday… HEDIDNOT. Now over 2.5 weeks have gone by and I have not been able to mow.(Since TruGreen only«SPOTSPRAYS» the weeds, if you mow, they will not be able to spray the weed that they can not see). I called again and was told someone would call to take care of it… NOPE. Another week went by with no returned calls or service. At this point I got frustrated and went out to hand pick the Nightshade. I PICKEDOVER230PLANTSOUTOFMYYARD. It is a fierce encroaching weed and if they would have killed it when it started, it would not have taken over my yard. I have now been told by other experts that since it went so long, and the weed had infiltrated so far, my only remedy is to kill off the entire yard and start over!!! THANKYOU TruGreen for unrealized expectations and losing a long time customer.
