The best BBQ in the Permian Basin should not be at a grocery store – but it is. I’m an old guy and I’ve eaten BBQ all over Texas including all of the shrines in Lockhart & Luling & Elgin & Llano & several of the newer places around Austin. This is as good as it gets. Somebody at HEB must have decided if it was worth doing it was worth doing right. Melt in your mouth lean outside brisket in butcher paper. Don’t bother me while I’m eating.

Food was pretty good. Kinda fatty for the brisket. Not bad all around. It’s inside a major shopping center so parking is kinda crazy it its worth the stop. Good food.

This Barbeque restaurant is by far the best your going to get in this town. The smoked turkey is very good with an actual smoke ring. The Brisket«moist» is very good and tender. My only problem is the employees need to learn how to slice the brisket first. «Slice against the grain». Haven’t had the ribs get because that are always sold out when I get a chance to go. Get there early. This place will be a hit with football season and boxing events coming up. Hope they start making more food. Plus it’s inside the new HEB. Can’t get any better than that.

The menu is great, variety & all. The brisket is smoky & tender! The brisket beans we had were not fully cooked but packed flavor– I look forward to trying is a fully cooked batch. Good tea & great service. I look forward to a more extensive review in the near future.
