New to town and decided to take our son to go swimming. The gate to get into the pool was unlocked so we walked in. There were at least 10 – 15 people in the pool and some random fat feller said they don’t open till 1 in a very rude manner. Why was the gate open? Why was there all them people in the pool if you were closed? As we were leaving the park(which also sucks) there were people walking in the water park 20 minutes early. Hmmm closed huh? Later Odessa.

This is not an aquarium not sure why it’s listed under that. Anyways. This is a little water park. Don’t expect it to be big or fancy. It’s a place to take the kids for a Lil fun in the water. They have a few slides for the kids and tiny whirl pool. Tues and Thurs from 5−8pm is family night and CASH only. They won’t let you take pics in the water or near the water. There is a park playground connected to it called Prarie Petes Playground or something like that.

Pros: The slides and swings are nice… There is also plenty of sidewalk for tricycles or skates. Shade is nice during the day. They have installed trash cans recently. Cons: No lights… Period. When it gets dark… It gets really dark. Too dark, I would say. I have found condom wrappers in the sand… Thus I check the sand very carefully before allowing my daughter to play in it, if at all.(I have been here many times and have only seen it once… But still, once is enough). Save some boulders, there is still no place to sit…

Prairie Pete park is a joke. Take your kids there and there is no place to sit and watch them play. No trash cans so people just throw trash on the ground. Not a very park friendly place
