I have the opportunity to stay/eat in the French Quarter 30 days each year. I can honestly vouch that Rob’s truck brings the spirit of New Orleans to Odessa. At my most recent visit I ordered the Bayou Burger. At first glance the burger is a bit intimidating — but all fears were gone after all of the flavors merged together. In a town with limited food diversity — this spot shakes it up! Where else can you get food like this ?! 5 stars. Looking forward to a return visit.

I only give 4 stars because it is quite pricey for a couple of sandwiches. The truck is attractive and customer service was wonderful. The lady taking my order was very nice and curt, not very common now days in Odessa. We ordered a few Shrimp Poboys and some of their cake(praline?), can’t remember what kind it was. The sandwiches are huge, quite a bit of large shrimp, lettuce, pickle, tomatoes and a sauce that goes great with the shrimp. The cake was sweet and super spongey, I’m not a huge cake person but this was exceptionally good. Still a little too sweet for my taste but it was a really good treat! I will say this is a gem in West Texas. I have tried a few other trucks and while they were good, it hasn’t made me feel«worth the money». Poboys and Rich chicks was expensive but it was worth it just to have customer service as well as a huge sandwich.

Amazing Cajun food! Finally a change to the area! They offer a wife variety of food and have different stuff each day! From alligator to gumbo you name it! The owner is very quick to respond to questions also. Their Facebook page is very helpful and they update it daily so you always know where to find their amazing food. This is a must try especially for locals who are looking for a change.

Their food was truly genuine and awesome! It is great to have Cajun food in west Texas! I tried the gator and it was perfectly cooked and the sauce that was drizzled all over it complimented it well! Thank you so much!

So ive been two times now, and gotten the crawfish po boy and the oyster po boy. I loved the crawfish po boy and they gave me a TON of crawfish even if they forgot the sauce making it quite dry. The second time the oyster po boy was much smaller, only 6 oysters on a large bun for 15 bucks, pretty tasty but also pretty overpriced. To be fair these oysters were absolutely delicious, fresh and tasted of the ocean. Also I went late so maybe they just didnt have enough, im not sure but I can only judge based on what I was given. Once of my biggest problems is the lettuce they use in the po boy is mostly the ribbed part from iceberg lettuce. I would love to see some actual green in the po boy, maybe some romaine lettuce. Granted both plates give you a decent amount of fries, well seasoned and taste like the sea. Normally id give this place a 3 but seeing as how its the only place trying to do something new and different, ill give it a 4. Both times the food was tasty, but avoid the oysters if you want to get your moneys worth. The crawfish po boy is where its at, as they loaded that bun up. The crawfish po boy was also 15 bucks but I feel it was a decent deal. Give this place a shot and check it out, but definitely be ready to spend a pretty penny. If you do wanna get some of their tasty cajun food, be ready to call them or check their facebook page as they move around quite a bit, mostly on the west side of town. Also they have some odd hours, sometimes only being open for lunch, and other times staying open till 10. Ill be back, its just too unique for odessa for me to turn away for long. Stick with the crawfish tho as its their heavy hitter IMHO.

this is a nice piece of culture in a town that has very little. This food truck brings the best of New Orleans and Louisiana cuisine to West Texas desert. The po boys and the sauces go wonderful together and the camaraderie between the staff and the customers makes the trip all the worth it.
