Permian Basin Fair and Exposition

I had always enjoyed coming to this Fair since I was in 7^th or 8^th grade. I would want to make it every year, but there would usually be something else going on, so I only made it every 3 – 5 years. I even went a few times in & after college. It was a lot more fun if I could bring a friend or family member.
It got a lot easier as the years went by to pay for the rides. For the first few years we had to keep track of cash & all those tickets (& make sure we didn’t lose them on higher-​impact rides) in our pockets, but later they may have accepted other forms of payment (cards, not just cash) & given us plastic bracelets with unlimited rides (much better than keeping track of cash & tickets).
My favorite rides were the «Zipper» (like ferris wheel, but with tumbling individual seats), the carpet slide, the funhouse, the centrifuge, the swinging ship, etc (I also confuse these rides with the smaller rides at Six Flags).
