The hotel was very nice, they should change from full service holiday inn… to an express and suites. The room was very nice but breakfast and morning stiff NOT so much… They told me they had a new chef, well he is NO chef… is best a line cook. I ordered a Texas classic: Biscuits and Gravy… came out quick, but biscuits were ice cold in the center and gravy was cold is too. When I talked to him he stated, «I just took them out of the oven, so that can’t be true!» Also a $ 3.99 craft of OJ, is really a bottle of OJ from the cooler in the main lobby. To which they could not even open and put on ice… Room was nice and clean… just do expect more than that… Also the room key did not work at check-in and also did not work in the morning… If you do want good warm biscuits and gravy McDonalds is right down the road by BOOTBARN…

I stay at this hotel almost weekly for work. To their credit it is the nicest of the three Holiday Inn hotels in Midland/Odessa, however they have much room for improvement. The hotel is clean however almost every time I check in I end up waiting as there is no one to greet me at the counter. Mattresses are old and flat, leather sitting chairs are ripped, tv’s are VERY small compared to other hotels, towels are thin and need to be replaced, sheets are thin as well. To be honest, this hotel appears to be lacking a manager who is in the hospitality business. Quality and attention to detail doesn’t matter to this owner.

Weird hotel… They checked me into a smoking room by mistake but made me sign a no smoke agreement… Nonsmoking room was stinking as well. If you can, just stay at the doubletree in downtown midland.

Worst, most cheaply built, upsetting hotel I’ve ever stayed at!!! –sink & shower leak/drip, & toilet were broken –room keys don’t work ;(we had at least 10 different room keys fail after one or no use! It was soooo annoying having to keep going to the front desk to get a new key. –poor customer service all around –restaurant didn’t even acknowledge me after sitting for 5 mins & they watches me walk away –you don’t get even a free continental breakfast –food in restaurant is gross, overpriced, & undercooked-I got food poisoning ! –cocktails at bar suck –items & snacks sold at front lobby are way overpriced! $ 2 for a candy bar, laundry detergent& fabric sheets! –front lobby didn’t have quarters to sell for laundry –a load of laundry will cost you $ 6.50 to do; $ 1.25 for washer, $ 1.25 for dryer, $ 2 for single use laundry detergent, $ 2 for single use dryer sheets; that’s ridiculous ;(! *Marriott gives you free laundry detergent & dryer sheets: D — dryers don’t work! 1 small dryer load & clothes still aren’t dry ;( –terrible dry cleaning service. Left clothes out in bag for cleaning & they weren’t taken ;( — maids don’t do a thorough cleaning of rm –wifi password is ridiculously long & difficult to remember every time you need to sign on ;( –room service didn’t pick up & do dry cleaning :/

The hotel was comfortable enough. Pros: spacious room, with microwave and fridge. The gym was good too. Besides the laundry service, it also has self-service laundry on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floor. Good location, right on highway 191. Cons: it doesn’t have complimentary breakfast. The wifi internet service required me to log in for almost every hour, resulting in getting disconnected multiple times. The room card keeps failing on me, so i had to keep going back to the front desk to reformat my card.

I stayed here for one night last week and found it to be the best of the three Holiday Inns I stayed at on my trip. The hotel was very new and the lobby and hallways were all nicely decorated. The room was a bit on the small side, but there was a nice flat-panel TV inside as well as a decent size mini-fridge. No free breakfast here, but they do have a restaurant and bar downstairs. The only downsides to this hotel were that the hallways smelled a bit funny and the hotel is somewhat difficult to access from the street. As another reviewer mentioned, you have to cut through the Chevy dealership parking lot in order to get to the hotel if you’re coming from the west. We didn’t realize this when coming back from dinner, so we ended up having to take a 3-mile detour to our hotel since we ended up on back on the local highway. Otherwise it’s in a safe area and is a good place to stay if you’re traveling along I-20.

Such a dissapointment. After spending a week in this hotel(on business) I couldn’t have been more happy to leave. After a busy day I get to the hotel(4:30PM) to find the cleaning staff parked outside my room. Not cleaning rooms mind you, but just talking. Other people started going to their rooms to realize that their rooms had not been cleaned at which point the staff slowly started working. The 5 minutes it took them to clean my room certainly seemed to put them out although I’m guesing making a bed does really take a lot of effort. Unfortunately the staff attitude seemed consistently bad regardless of their role. Unlike Holiday Inn Express you will not get a free breakfast in this hotel, but will pay for toast-like pancakes and undercooked eggs. They do offer free coffee, but if you have it brought to your table it will cost you. The location is very incovenient to get to. Yes, you can see it from the road but you have to drive through a truck dealership to get to the hotel. Incidentally, the following week I did stay in the Holiday Inn Express and thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Probably the best place to stay in Odessa. A newer hotel, a known name and all the mod cons. Flat panel? Check. Comfy bed? Check. Fridge? Check! My room, an «executive» room(?)” is a suite of sorts; it has a couch, a coffee table and a good-sized desk. Weird thing? The«ice and vending» area has no vending machine, and the ice machine has no ice. However, there is a «market» area next to the front desk to buy snacks and soft drinks. A little inconvenient if you’re on the 4th floor, but handy if you’re hungry.
