I’ve made one single visit to Conn’s, and won’t be back.
I had passed by numerous locations in other towns, so was curious to check it out when our location opened.
My impression; it’s on par with a rent-​to-​own. The prices and selection aren’t good. The only reason I think anybody would shop here is because they’ll finance most anybody (not that anyone should be financing furniture, electronics, or appliances!).
Most of their advertising and much of their floor space (cubicles) is dedicated to pushing their easy financing. They are a creditor first, and retail store second.

I called looking for a certain type of mattress. He said (store manager) that they had all types of this brand at their warehouse so he would have to order it but it would only take a couple days. He said he’d call me back. He finally called me back and LIED to me saying the company who makes the mattress DISCONTINUED the type I was looking for. Well little did he know I had just spoken with DIRECT SALES of said company on the phone. He said «yeah so just come in and look at the stuff we have in the store!» Basically, he LIED just so he could make a sale THAT DAY. DO NOT GO THERE! I ended up getting the mattress from MatressCity in Midland.

Very bad place to buy appliances. They did a crappy installation on a dryer and it caused my dryer to short out after a month from the purchase. They took no responsibility for the problem and they didn’t even want to refund the plug they sold they also pawned off all of the problems to Samsung. These guys are a bunch of Conn-​artists!

Rip off.
Came in looking for a small refrigerator to replace the one that has gone out in my RV. Found exactly what I was looking for at what I thought was a decent price ($ 319.00). The sales guy told me after tax and delivery my price would be over $ 490.00. Big difference between what the sign said. I told him I do not need delivery. He said it’s still the same price (over $ 490.00) because they don’t stock at this store. Everything has to be brought in from their El Paso warehouse! And I am to pay for that! I thanked him and walked out never to darken their doorstep again.

This is a brand new location, and such is very nice. They have a huge selection-​much larger than the Conn’s I have been to in bigger cities. Customer service is good. Can’t speak to the quality of their products since I’ve never bought anything. However, they do sell name brand products.
