I moved 4÷1÷2013. I had one of the best experiences working with with the office to set up the move. And then I had one of the worst experiences with the actual moving crew. I was expecting professionals and was highly disappointed. I contacted Suddath’s office with the below concerns and received no response. As such, I will not be hiring them in the future. I understand and accept that a last minute crew member had to be found. Yet, when the crew arrived, they were entirely unprepared. The paperwork was left at the office and was incomplete. The crew was unaware of the actual amount of work and kept asking me for certain details. They arrived with absolutely no tools to disassemble/reassemble my furniture, even though I was told this is a standard part of their service. They had to take a 30 minute break to go buy the right tools from a hardware store. The two guys doing the actual heavy lifting were inefficient and trifling. It took them 25 minutes to take the first piece of furniture to the truck, and they began complaining the second they were out the door with it. I should be the one talking about«This is some bullshit» when it’s 1030, my move was supposed to start at 8am and most of my stuff has been shifted around or set outside my door at random. They were careless with many of the boxes, both getting them out and placing them in the truck. They kept bumping into walls with items they were carrying. They managed to pull 3 layers of tape off the bottom of one box and poke a sizable hole in another. Luckily, no damage was done to the apartments or items in the boxes. Additionally, my roommate and I witnessed one crew member just sitting around several times, while his partner(who did the majority of the complaining) was carrying items between apartment and truck. He even stopped a few times to talk to me. The crew taking a break together for water/lunch is reasonable. One person taking a break to text his friends and hit on his client is unacceptable. Which leads me to my final and largest concern — Jim’s unprofessionalism. This is the 3rd time I’ve hired a moving company, and I have been hit on by every single crew. As crew leader, I expected more respect from Jim, which I did not get. I brushed off the majority of his inappropriate comments and jokes, but he eventually crossed a line. He then tried to play it off like he was just concerned about my safety, despite the fact he was the only one making me feel unsafe. On top of this, I had to remind him to properly document all the breaks the crew took during the day because he hadn’t actually accounted for them in the paperwork. My move started two hours late and lasted over an hour longer than my estimated max. Considering I moved apartments that are less than a minute from each other, there is no excuse for this. There was NO way in hell I was paying extra for time that wasn’t worked. Overall, this was one of the worst moving experiences I have ever had. I was originally willing to give them a second chance. However, the office ignored my concerns. This is not the sort of company I want to do business with, and I highly recommend that others look elsewhere for their moving needs.

In considerately parked truck in a residential alley, no residents can get in or out. It takes five seconds to straighten out your vehicle so other vehicles can pass by. The drivers took it as a laughing matter.

Love them, used them twice and loved them. Only thing is I think this style they stole my weed, I had about an eighth and now it’s gone. Shame on me though, should’ve taken care of that separatey. Oh well. edit: I found the weed a couple of weeks later, changing my review to five stars.
