I was quite impressed with Fox Lake Antiques — we had no idea this place existed, but stopped in after the German Christmas Market to check it out. The store is much larger than it might appear from the outside — 100+ booths/dealers for sure. Unlike a lot of «antique malls», Fox Lake is very clean and organized and it doesn’t have that musty smell. In terms of merchandise, it’s obviously ever changing but it’s mostly small goods — porcelain, glassware, collectables, etc. There’s some furniture, mostly of the«country» variety but don’t come here looking for high end big ticket items. That said, depending on what you collect or love you’ll probably find something to take home. The Mister saw a good number of beer steins he wanted(some very old, high quality pieces) and I snapped up vintage Christmas ornaments. In terms of prices, I think things are perhaps a bit less than they would be in Milwaukee — most things appeared to be fairly priced. The people working were really nice too — they’ll happily hold things at the front for you while you browse you don’t have to schlep stuff all around the store. Final note — allow some time if you plan to visit. We spent an hour and I easily could have spent more time, but the Mister had had enough!

This place is nice and big, there is a lot of variety though a lot of the booths seem to be over-priced compared to what I saw earlier that day at the Waukesha Antique Mall. Also, the Waukesha mall packed more stuff into their space, but Fox Lake Antique Mall does a better job with presentation.

My favorite kind of retail therapy! I’m not a traditional antiques collector and am admittedly only interested in items that will look cute /shabby chic in my home for decorative purposes, so for me, price is king. I have been to other antique stores that are quite highly priced and while some people who truly value antiques for their historical value may be willing to pay that, for me, it’s like a vase or other decoration I may change after a few months — so the budget friendliness of Fox Antiques has quite the appeal for me. I love to come back every few weeks to see what has been added. Staff is always warm and helpful as well.

I am sad to say that despite the good reviews, I was not impressed. There was a HUGE lack of furniture and just copious amounts of junk. I am not interested in Pinterest stuff and that’s all I seem to be finding these days. The distressed look and chalk paint is ruining original antique furniture. Other booths featured a lot of hard plastic glassware and dish sets from the 60s and 70s. The good thing is that there were a lot of signs and advertisements. I am always on the look out for old ads and did buy an old magazine page from a 1941 issue of Harper’s Bazaar. That being said, I only bought one small purchase after spending two and a half hours browsing around the place.

This place is huge. I will admit that I got lost the first time I was there. Be sure to dedicate a big chunk of time to a trip here… you could probably spend about an hour in this place & still not really see everything. The people that work @ Fox are always SO incredibly helpful & nice. The majority of the inventory there is priced very reasonably & you can find some really interesting pieces.

This place really is as good as it gets. This store occupies the former Tobin’s Drugstore. The store itself is huge! They have a lot of different vendors(over 100), some specializing on one ‘area’(i.e. records and LP’s, other vendors concentrate on vintage clothes or toys). They offer a lot of sports and brewery memorabilia as well. They offer some really cool ‘crafty’ gifts too — not necessarily antique, but very interesting pieces to display in your home. I was so impressed at the organization of everything. Unlike a lot of other antique places, Fox Lake Country Antiques was very clean(not musty) and uncluttered. Prices are clearly marked and very reasonable. They also sell some painting supplies. Chalk Paint, Mustard Seed, and American Paint Company — in the back area, so you can ‘antique’ your own furniture. They offer classes to beginners as well. I’ll definitely be back. This is a great stop for a «Mother — Daughter — Sister Day,» or even somewhere to find a cool or unique gift. Make sure to plan for plenty of time! One final note: when the strip mall was built, it wasn’t that difficult to get to. With the recent addition of a roundabout it can be kind of confusing to get to if you’ve never been there or are not familiar with the area. You can either enter off of Fowler(careful of the one way — you’ll have to go through the roundabout) or go around to the bypass. My suggestion is to take the bypass and enter on Wisconsin Avenue.

This is a wonderful antique mall. It is clean, the booths are well maintained and the staff is very friendly. The owner has done a great job making sure customers enjoy their shopping experience. Expect to spend some time shopping for that hidden treasure! I’m greatful to have found that they carry Annie Sloan chalk paint and Miss Mustard Seed milk paint. Be sure to stop and shop!

This is a very big antique mall. They have nearly 100 dealers and it is spread over a huge space. There is a massive cookie jar booth, vintage toys, tons of books, clothing, farm tools, dishes. furniture, tchochkes/knick knacks, post cards, etc. You can expect to spend 60 – 90 minutes to cover all of the booths in this mall. The items that I was interested in were really, really cheap, compared to Milwaukee.
