Do not give them your business. I know this place is convenient for those that live on base but they are rude and not very sanitary. I have never been to an optometrist that does not wipe down equipment before putting your face on it. Also they don’t have any of the sanitary pads most optometrist have. Did not see anyone wash hands before doing anything. Next, they are not very friendly. Being polite goes a long way and they don’t get it. I don’t even usually write reviews but I had to in this case because I will never patronize this establishment ever again.

My daughter was told at her 3yr check up that she needed glasses. drove down to Balboa to get her checked to get a confirmation that yes, she would need glasses until she was old enough to have surgery. well as heartbreaking as it was for us it was worse for her as she did not want to wear glasses. we went shopping at every possible location and we could not find anything that would fit her right. plus she was 3 we needed something with a good warranty. we checked every place imaginable and although some places were cheap that was all you were getting, cheap glasses. I had come into the location inside the new MCX in pacific plaza for an eye exam myself and then saw we could look there. We saw a sign that said they were having a back to school special. we were jumped on the deal and found our daughters glasses with anti glare, transition and a 2 year warranty. OMG! The lady who helped us was so nice to our little girl and very helpful that she even changed our daughters views on wearing glasses. my daughter scratched her glasses in a few months and she got them switched out free of charge. Then we came from the Dr yesterday excited that her eye sight was better but thinking great new glasses. we went into the shop and they told us that there was no problem as it was covered by the warranty. Thank goodness because I didn’t want to pay another $ 200. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because as awesome as they are some of those glasses are really expensive. you could get the same pair at half the price somewhere else but the warranty sucks. The lenses are pricy enough without having to add an additional $ 150 for frames. point being if you need glasses and you qualify for the back to school special they offer get that.
