Back office is a mess on billing I stopped in today for second time to pick up my wife’s glasses and mine Two weeks ago my wife and I stopped in to pick up our glasses but hers needed to be altered because they had the by focal lens too high. My frames were back ordered. My wife ask if she could pay then and we were told that there was no balance due. Today when I arrived to pick them both up the lady at the counter said there was a balance due of $ 36.20 I told her that my wife had already paid and we she received the call today that they were ready for pickup that there was no balance due! The other lady helping me explained that she had reviewed the account and my wife’s insurance had a higher deductible now and she just found that out in reviewing any balance due . She never offered any responsibility for the mistake or offed any compensation for the solution just that I would have to pay the balance to pick up the glasses. So beware of this location The Dr here needs to have a better hand on customer service So bottom line is get it in writing on any balance due before you order your glasses or you will get charged more when you pick them up!!! Won’t be back at this Dr or his offices!

I had vision exam approximately 2011 with Dr. Pendleton. I felt confident with his prescription and exam, and Dr. was very friendly and personable. I used my Blue View Vision Insurance and had minimal co pay for Dr. Exam. I then saw the optician in his office, I believe her name was Patty. She printed my insurance information and helped me pick out a nice pair of Kate Spade frames and fitted me. She explained that I had an out of pocket copay approx 150. to 190 because I needed progressive lenses which I paid at that time. My glasses arrived 10 days later and she fitted me and I left, very satisfied with my prescription. About one week later she called and informed me that I would have to pay another 400. plus as she realized the optical side of Dr. Pendletons practice did not accept my insurance. I told her that I would gladly bring the glasses back, if I had known that I had to pay and not use my insurance I would have taken my business elsewhere. She told me I could not return the glasses. Buyer beware, do not trust the optician in his office, she told me that I was covered and then later told me the opposite after I had been wearing the glasses. My question… why would the Dr. accept the insurance but his optician not accept the same insurance??? Very misleading, and rude when trying to resolve the issue. I am still getting collection notices. I think when staff members make a mistake they should not expect the clients to pay.
