I had my 36′ Catalina sailboat dry hauled(See photos), painted and serviced in December. They did a fantastic job. They applied 2 coats of haul paint, replaced my propeller shaft, bearings, zinc platings and packing flange. They also removed, cleaned and lubed my rudder and rudder assembly. They had to order out of state and have made a new high quality stainless steel propeller shaft. The mechanic, Charley was very efficient, friendly and informative. He owns his own boat and gave me some good advice to boot. The repair bill was very fair. Deserves 5 stars.

I just had my 34′ CHB trawler hauled out for bottom paint, thru hull work and a new cutlass bearing. Butch, Daniel and Charles are knowledgeable and provided fast and great work. I was provided a timeline price on some of the work and they came in under their estimated hours. Highly recommended.

If i could give them 0 stars that is what they would get. Lets start with the good, the owner is a very nice lady. That is where the good ends. I brought my boat in for an annual maintenance after purchasing it. They were able to get it done in a week, however the manner in which the job was done was 100% sub par. first off a ridiculous amount of oil was left in my bilge that had been perfectly clean prior, there was an oil hand print on my white vinyl interior, my channel locks were taken and their oil filter wrench was left. The kicker here is they actually charged me(albeit not much) extra for oil absorbency pads, which is about the same as a car mechanic charging you for the paper/plastic floor coverings they put in your car. Next issue was that my boat then reeked of gasoline, the next time I ran it. Being very unhappy with this i brought the boat back to them, the owner was very pleasant to me, butch was okay if not kind of gruff, made it seem as though I was complaining about nothing. They cleaned the mess of oil, I returned their oil filter wrench(I forgot to ask about my channel locks) They said that they couldn’t find a leak of gasoline and that the mechanic(daniel) must have spilt some gas when he changed the fuel filter. more on that in a minute. In order for them to clean the oil they removed the board in which my back seat attaches to, when they put it back on they used the incorrect screw and actually drilled the screw through the board. It was clear to me that whomever did it was well aware that it had happened because he just left the tip poking through and did not finish tightening down the screw. Nothing was mentioned to me about this, which is a disgusting display in my mind. Now back to the gas, so they claimed they tilted the boat way up to get all the gas out well when i got home,(my drive way has a slant so the nose of the boat was nice and low) I pulled everything out of the ski locker and found about a cup or so of gasoline, I vacuumed it up and have not had an issue since. In summary even though the owner is incredibly nice, I would never let these people near my boat again, they showed a flagrant disregard for my property and a complete lack of pride in their job. I would consider them no more than hacks and I am quite surprised that they have been in business for so long with that quality of work. Probably more of a convenience of location thing. It is also frustrating that they were unwilling to give me a price on what it would cost until i went to pick up the boat. Phillip S’s review is completely pointless and should be stricken

Had our 29′ SeaRay Sundancer«towed in» for service prior to launching for our final Destination to San Diego. Oceanside Marine Center(OMC) painted the bottom, serviced the twin Merc’s & O/D’s, repaired gelcoat cracks in the hull as well as a number of other things. The staff(Myrtle & Butch) along with Daniel, Charles, Brian, Jorge and all the others were extremely knowledgeable and helpful towards accomplishing the work so we could meet our target date for launch. OMC also has a nice marine store where supplies and parts can be purchased. Tom & Jeff P.
