What’s not to like? Delivers in town, fast and friendly service and a local business. I guess the hours(they close at 7) is a bit earlier than CVS, but beats the line and the hassle of CVS anytime.

I have been using CVS for a bunch of years. I finally switched to Ocean Chemists — what a difference! Small pharmacy, nice people, you get your prescriptions right away, you can ask pharmacist a question… what more can I say?

A new nemesis has arrived aliased as the terrible Green Fly. Biting, gnashing, gnawing, it’s a horrendous little bugger. There is but one cure found only at this aquatic apothecary: Ruehl gel, a salve of miraculous qualities. Ocean Chemist is a pharmacy of more modest features. In a world of Targets and CVSs and Walmarts, the knowledgeable touch of a local pharmacist is sometimes needed. Having grown up in a small town myself, Ocean Chemist rather reminds me of *my* pharmacy back home. review 8÷4÷2008 I.M.Y.

GOD bless me. me must haz sweet blood. or Green flies, mosquitoes, or whatsoever lovez silly drunken Korean girl’s blood. all over my both arms were all sorts of delicacies for them. couldn’t stop scratch. look at my arms. you could say. ewwww + awwww!!! the only place where you can find ‘the BEST bug bites gel type anti-itch cream evaaaaaaaaaaar’. why 4 stars? too far away from the city. the gel works really well in Korea, the mosquito heaven, too!

Recommended for: Prescription drugs, medicines, pharmacist opinion. Knowledge 7, Service 6, Selection 6. I am not a big fan of going and getting your«script» filled at DR, CVS or Wallgreens. While there are pharmacists, it is fairly generic service and not really attention to you, your history or what is going on in your life. This review is spurred on do to the fact I’ve been«eck» for nearly a week! Growing up in LI, Ocean Chemist was the place since coming back to the US was where I had all medicine filled. When I was in college, got them filled here. When I traveled, got them filled here. Why? George! George is the owner and pharmacist of Ocean Chemists. He has known me pretty much my whole life, and knows my history, my family etc. Not only does he take the time to know whats going on with the everyday life, but, can make recommendations on what to take whether its prescription or over-the-counter. He recalls things about my medical history that I clearly forgot, and knows side-effects that while minuscule in percentage of patients, given my track record, I may be more susceptible to. The staff here is very nice, and they have a large assortment of medical things. While not a CVS in terms of size, they always have what I am looking for, at good prices. So go on and support your local pharmacist! While I may be living in the city, I have no problem trekking out to LI to make sure I get the best service! Sean Approved: Absolutely Positively YES!!!
