Update from my previous five-star review: I finally got a chance to eat here. The service was lackluster and they’ve changed the menu to closer to another asian-fusion clone. Sushi that is okay, but not at the asking price, and they’ve dropped some of my favorite items from the menu. It feels like maybe a change of ownership or management took place. I will probably still get food from here, at least another try, but previously my family was hooked on this place, so it’s disappointing.

Sushi is awesome and ive only done takeout here. Chinese food is quality. Haven’t tried any of the Thai as of late.

The food was a total let-down!!! Stay far away from the drunken noodle, as it is far from authentic. It’s more like a semi-sweet, slimy mix of noodles with a hint of curry-all wrong! The shrimp with broccoli was also slimy! Save your time & money

My friend felt like having sushi one night recently after work and suggested this«all you can eat for $ 19.99» [The Tokyo House the new name for this restaurant.] We had never been there before so we opted to try something new as opposed to going to our usual sushi haunts. The menu is extensive; you can order from the main menu if you don’t want the all you can eat option. The cuisine is Chinese and Japanese. We were seated immediately [the all you can eat option is Monday-Thursday only] We asked for water and then told the waitress we wanted the all you can eat option. They provided us with a listing of various sushi options which you then have to check off depending on what you want, I got a yummy roll [spicy tuna outside, spicy salmon inside ‚] the honey roll [spicy tuna inside with toasted eel on top with a sweet/spicy honey sauce] and the lobster roll [spicy lobster with asparagus crunch, masago inside and the outside coated with a special seaweed] I also ordered a piece of tamago, shrimp, octopus and eel. I finished this and ordered the seafood tempura roll consisting of whitefish, crabmeat, octopus, masago, avocado, scallion and spicy mayo. I opted out of the miso soup and the salad since I wanted to fill up on the sushi. Some caveats about all you can eat sushi-you must eat what you order in the restaurant-you cannot take anything home-no doggie bags-You may also be penalized for what you don’t eat. Do not fill up on soup or drinks-overall the sushi was extremely fresh, tasty and the waitress was very accommodating. The sushi chef stopped by to thank us for coming. I was a most agreeable experience. I would recommend and return.

Have eaten here several times. It is a well kept secret in a town with so many Asian — Sushi restaurants. The food is delish. I love the fact I can get Pad Thai & sushi all in one sitdown. Oh & my kids get their General Taos. Owner is very engaging and sincerely wants you to enjoy your meal. He will visit your table to be sure you are happy.

Impeccable food the meal i got was lifechanging no words can describe amazing let me start off with the beverage the thai tea im in love having it for the first time ever i was blown away i heard good things about thai tea before so decided to try its now a must every time i go to a Thai restaurant or order takeout im impressed it was amazing something about that tea with milk instead iced just does it i want a bucket of it in my house if i could. I ordered the chicken satay which was very tasty and delectable not too bad and coconut rice on the side. They did a good job. Combining asian and thai and Chinese is awesome because theyre is soo much to pick from so if someone isnt a fan of one thing they can get something else if you dont want to stick to just thai. They are very quick with deliverys too. Good service good food its a go to.

Food is mediocre. Service is terrible. Delivery shows up insanely late, IF they don’t straight up cancel your order. Avoid this place.

Solid Thai /Chinese food. You can tell they only use the freshest ingredients. The vegetables especially. Much better take out /delivery option than your typical Long Island Chinese. But the same prices! Atmosphere could use some work. Can be pretty awkward in there sometimes.

Great food, a little pricey for dinner, but great for lunch! I got the Drunken Noodle lunch special, which is basically a Pad Kee Mao, and I cannot turn down a Pad Kee Mao; it’s what I use to judge how good a Thai place is, and this place is awesome. The flavors of the dish stood out; it wasn’t just blind spice, which I think is all too common in Thai places. I ordered through GrubHub, and it came promptly. Also ordered the mini spring rolls – 8 came per order, so I feel it was worth the $ 5.50. I just wish they allowed you to order 4 and pay $ 2.75 or something. Overall delicious and satisfying! Definitely ordering lunch from them again.

I love this place. Every single dish I have ever ordered has been amazing. Delivery tastes just as good if not better than dine in. My 2 go to favorites are the black pepper noodle with beef(the beef is out of this world, on a different level than any chinese take out), and the chicken pad thai. Crushed peanuts on top, soooo good. I went there last night and they recently changed menu to include sushi. I tried the all you can eat sushi and it was really good. Not the best I ever had, but for $ 22 all you can eat it was well worth it. I had the Hawaii rill which has macadamia nuts in it(although I didn’t really pick up on the taste of it), and it was good, and I also had the honey roll which was very good. I wanted more of the honey sauce but very tasty. Also, you can never go wrong with the coconut fried rice!

I went with my wife to Lemongrass for diner recently and used a groupon gift certificate. We ordered appetizers of a wonton soup and some mini thai rolls. Both of the appetizers were quite good. We then ordered dinners of pad thai and a chicken noodle dish. Both were quite good. The restaurant iteslf was clean and airy. The problem was with the service which was slow deliberate and non responsive. It took us over 45 minutes to get served in a restaurant that was not crowded. The price to value ratio is about average for this kind of restaurant. All in all its around 4 stars for the food and 2 stars for service. I look forward to returning soon and I hope the service problems will be resolved.

Ordered from here today. Got the pad see yu, spicy shrimp soup and shrimp dumplings. The pad see yu was ok. A little too sweet for my taste. Shrimp soup was very spicy. I think I would have liked it better if there were more vegetables or noodles in it. Dumplings were ok, she’ll was a little too thick. It was ok. Will order other items from the menu just to see if I like anything better.

Quickly got seated and glasses of water. Customer service was lacking at first, but after ordering drinks the waitress warmed up and was really friendly. Portions are big for the price. Came in at about 6:00 p.m. on a Thursday and they had a happy hour of buy 1 drink, get 1 free. Food was good, especially since the sauces weren’t overpowering the taste of the food and the food wasn’t slathered in oil like in other places. A good place if you’re in the mood for Thai. The ambiance is cute with a modern lime green paint job.

I really, really, really like the Panang Curry with pumpkin and Thai Tea and Poh Taek — enough to wait the extensive amount of time it takes to get it delivered. Whether ordering from their site direct or GrubHub, it consistently takes over an hour to get food delivered. I suggest picking up if you are going to order. I don’t know of any other place that makes their curry with pumpkin but until then, I will deal with slow and mediocre service. **Side note — I once had the food delivered and ordered Thai Tea, the cup had busted open and spilled half of the drink all over the rest of the food. Didn’t complain, but I was tempted to afterwards — I paid with a card and did not receive a receipt to sign, had no cash to tip the driver and was told that I’m supposed to specify the tip amount when I place the order(although there is no place for this on their direct site). I called the restaurant back to see if they could add it to the tab and I was told they could not. I felt sorry that he was leaving without a tip but it seems there are some technical/service issues that this establishment could really do with fixing.

The delivery driver was so rude. Didn’t even ask for my change so he basically took 10 dollar in tip which he did no deserve. The Tom yum goong soup does NOT taste like it. This place would rather be better a Chinese take out place than having thai in their menu

Visiting friends in Oceanside, it was their turn to pick a restaurant. What a treat the Lemon Grass turned out to be. Our boots on the ground told us that it was relatively new, open less than a year. We can only hope they are successful. My bride and I decided to share our dishes and we shared appetizers with our advance team. What a feast we had! Their vegetable dumplings included one of the most savory Gyoza dipping sauces I have ever tasted. The coconut pineapple rice, garnished with finely crushed peanuts and fried onions, was a subtly flavored but very pleasing addition, so enjoyable that I decided to forgo the steamed white rice offered with my dish. And it was large enough to share with four people and still leave enough to bring some home. One of the things I enjoy most about exotic cuisine, any cuisine actually, is the chef skillful enough to create a dish whose flavors are nuanced such that, like a great wine, you can savor and identify several distinct spices. Unlike many restaurants where each dish has an overpowering spice or flavor, the Gai Pahd Kieng(Ginger Chicken) at Lemon Grass offers a cornucopia of sweet and delicious taste experiences: ginger, pepper, mushroom, scallion; each distinct and definable but an integral part of the overall experience. The same can be said of their Pahd Wooson, pan fried clear noodles with shrimp, shitake mushroom, tomatoes & vegetables. The clear noodles had a rich and flavorful taste and texture that did not overpower, however, the more delicately flavored jumbo shrimp or ubiquitously subtle shiitake. Service was efficient and attentive. Our meal, including appetizers, cost less than in most other establishments and we brought home leftovers. Our dining companions enjoyed their dishes and, having finally visited Lemon Grass, planned on revisiting as well exploring take out.

My coworkers and I go here for lunch often. The food is really good. I have tried just about the Thai dishes on the menu and have not been disappointed. I have not tried the Chinese dishes. FYI beware of the spicy coconut soup. It is very spicy!!! Ask for it to be mild and they would add coconut milk. Service is not great but the food is very good. We will be back.

I really enjoyed my lunch here with my boyfriend. I love Thai, but he never had it before. This was a great first experience for him. The lunch menu is a must, and really necessary. For less then $ 8 we got an entrée with rice, and soup. The food was more then enough, I did not even finish mine. I also ordered shrimp dumplings for the regular menu which cost as much as 1 lunch special. My boyfriend said«we will only come here for lunch» because he thought it looked a little pricey for dinner. Love the homemade sauces on all the foods, even the dumpling sauce. It totally hit the spot. Veggies and meats were all fresh, and rice was cooked perfectly. Some kind of chicken coconut soup came with our lunch special. We REALLY loved that. It had a nice punch of heat, but the coconut was a nice balance. My boyfriend never tried flavors like that, so he was really intrigued. I was really pleased with that. I ordered the spicy chicken basil dish and I do not know what to say other then it was made just the way I like it. Lots of sauce, so I can add my rice to the dish. Which then made it very filling! My boyfriend got a mango chicken dish which was so nice and sweet. I really want to come back here rather soon. I am already craving that dish again!
