Johnson Oceanside Gymnastics

After visiting and attending several gymnastic facilities locally and not being impressed with staff, I wasn’t sure what to expect with Johnson Oceanside Gymnastics. Our children LOVE Mr. Dave and are always excited to go to class. Gymnastics is his passion and it shows! He is very knowledgeable about proper body placement and how to correct mistakes that cause difficulty in learning a new skill. He is also able to relay this to the kids at a level that they can understand. The children learn new skills, improve on what they learn, make new friends, and have a wonderful time. I also really admire Mr. Dave for his desire to give back and fellowship with the parents and children in his class as demonstrated by the get together’s for the class during certain times of the year to encourage community. He also has a genuine interest in the children’s well being and is ready and willing to give direction and assistance when needed. This place and Mr. Dave are Oceanside gems. We are blessed to have found him.

My daughter has learned more in this class in a shorter period of time than when she was on the «pre-​team» at a very costly gymnastics center. Dave is friendly and has the kids constantly working on something during class time. My daughter also enjoys this class over the center that had all the fancy equipment. That says a lot! If you want to get into competition this may not be the class for you. If you want to learn how to tumble and flip from a knowledgable instructor this is where you want to be! You can’t beat the cost since it is run through the Melba Biship Park Center. (Oceanside Parks and Recreation).
