Davina’s Nails

I came in for a gel manicure, and had a wonderful experience! Jenny is great! She did exactly what I asked for and in a timely manner. I’m very happy and will be back.

My friend invited me here saying they do a really great job on your nails, always down to trying new places out so I was excited. I guess this place gets busy, so she made an appointment for us.
She got her nails painted, and pedicure, a really nice pink color. Prices are reasonable, and located on a board by the front counter. I had a man do my nails, (don’t know his name) he was very attentive and patient with me. I showed him a picture of what I wanted but the gel glitter colors they had weren’t really what I was going for. Unfortunately the look I was going for couldn’t be accomplished but he tried really hard to make me happy so kuddos for that but I understand everyone has different colors, no biggie. I decided to go with a nice clean french tip manicure $ 30 (gel aka shellac).I liked the way he shaped my nails and asked if it was ok each time. I also got my eyebrows waxed by a different person which was a few dollars cheaper than what was listed on the menu price which was appreciated. I’m knocking off a star because I saw a box of nail colors, and other related nail supplies on the floor, along with a towel placed on top of the box, looked a little sloppy to me, also the restroom could have been kept a little cleaner-​the sink, and more toilet paper stocked near by. Minor things that can be fixed, still a great place to go.

Three of us came in for pedicures today. We hit the jackpot because they could take us right away! They do a pretty good job here but I hate how much they try to up sell you. All we want is a pedi. No mani. No extra massage. No eyebrow wax. Other than that the ladies are nice but I don’t like how they talk to each other and then look at you and laugh.

I’ve been here multiple times and I’ve had to wait over 45 minutes each time even though I made an appointment. So be expected to wait.

I have been to this nail salon two times before today. The previous visits were fine and the ladies were friendly. However, today I took my daughter and we wanted mani/​pedis. They did the obligatory asking if we wanted massage, scrub and «mask» on our feet. This extra costs extra of course. I always opt up. Well, this time, there was NO massage to speak of, I had to hold up my leg because she did not place the usual wooden support under my leg. The massage consisted of her using both hands on both feet simultaneously in a rather half asleep fashion, with zero pressure at all. I thought of complaining, but really, how would it go after that? The hand massage was even worse. My technician slopped through the process as if I was rolling by on a conveyor belt…” NEXT!” During the time there, another client was actually speaking to the owner about an unsatisfactory experience she had previously at Davina’s. I was wondering why she was actually back. I assume this is her local spot and she doesn’t want to travel any farther. There was no offer to help us with our shoes afterwards or any of the usual pampering you feel when you go to the nail salon. When I went to pay the bill, the womyn, whom I assume is the owner, was chatting on the phone, (not a business call) and simply pointed to a paper alerting me as to what I owed. I do not remember even a thank you. With all of these multiple negative moments, I will not be back. It is a shame, because it is very close to my home.

Came here in a rut on vacation. It was okay. The colors they have on their gel panels do not match and I ended up with a different color on my toes and fingers. This was after I made it clear I wanted them to match. She didn’t seem to care or change it so overall displeased. Would I chose to come back? No. But if you’re desperate and need a mani and pedi then coming here will be okay. Just don’t expect to leave thinking «wow this is my favorite place ever».

Love this place. They spoil and pamper you with a smile on their face. Extremely hard workers. Make sure your not being cheap and leave the ladies a good tip.

The Worst customer service I have ever experienced!
They were rude and laughed at me in English.
It was my first time there, and I was really tired and she escorted me to the nail spa.
She asked me what color nail polish I wanted, and I requested a white color and if she can please bring me her white selection that I can choose from.
She said no it’s best if you get up and chose for yourself. She made me get up from the spa in which my feet were already submerged in hot water to choose my nail color.
I got up to look at their white color selection, and there were only 2 on the shelf!

I have come here over a handful of times and have been pleased with my service. I like to get a mani/​pedi when my time allows. After a couple of visits I’d like to say I found my, ‘nail tech.’ Christina is very kind, and gives a great mani/​pedi. She will let you know if she is going to start on you a little late and also acknowledges and apologizes if she or others are running behind. Just to let you know in my case, Christina has never ran over 5 minutes late or more than once. I do try to schedule my appointments where I have at least a 1 hour break before what’s next on my ‘to do’ list. I know salons rarely run on time, anyways this is ‘my’ time.
The salon is clean and the place has a lot of natural light coming in, seems bright and cheery.
For the most part the nail tech’s seem friendly, but I know that I could always count on Christina being a positive and cheery nail tech for me. She is good energy to be with for that 1 hour.
I believe I was told there is another Christina in the salon, but I do not know her.
I will keep Christina in mind when I’m in the area and need a mani/​pedi.

Love this nail salon. When i moved to vista area I looked everywhere for a nail salon that was high quality and reasonable. This place is it and the staff is friendly. They serviced me for my wedding and Mai did a wonderful job!

Been coming here for a couple years. Pretty hit or miss, I usually do gel. Kim is probably one of the best nail techs.

Kristina was awesome so nice and sweet. Did a great job took her time even though I came in late. I will come back to her for sure great pedi and mani.

Been coming here on and off for the last few years… Always below expectations but due to convenience I kept coming back.
Came in for a manicure and my middle finger was cut during the process. This happened 1 week from today and the cut is still noticeable. Would not be coming back. This happened with the lady at spot #3.
Lastly, jokes like «what color you want your nails, pink?» is getting extremely OLD. I highly doubt I’m their only male client; get over it.

Usually I don’t mind driving far for a perfect manicure and pedicure. Today I needed a eyebrow wax & chin wax, that was OHHH so over due! I didn’t want to drive all the way to Oceanside or Carlsbad like usual.
I just moved to the 90 281 area, and don’t know much about the shops. I attempted to go to one near my home, and they were just rude.
Drove down a few more minutes and WALA! I found this Gem! I have been to many nail places, and this one by far has exceeded my expectations!
The prices are higher than others, however they give you amazing customer service. You feel like you are wanted for yourself & not just seen as a money sign.
I waked in was looking at the menu, Nancy quickly called upon one of her staff, I was quickly seated and helped.
Christina was wonderful! My toes came out wonderful, my gel manicure was one of the best I have ever gotten, and my eyebrow & chin wax was perfect.
Selection of Gel is INCREDIBLE!
Overall the service is great, the quality is great & you leave feeling so pampered.

I’ve been going to Davina’s for a few months. I love that everyone there is so friendly and kind. Nancy maintains a very positive and clean environment! I’ve had Hahn do my nails every time. She does such a beautiful job, and is just the sweetest! I’d recommend her to everyone!

I live up in San Luis Obispo Co but come down here to visit my boyfriend. After having a not so stellar experience at a different place, I was looking for something different. With many places there were both good and bad reviews. I took my chances and glad that I did! My nails were awful after getting a hack job at a place at home. I got a pedicure and gel manicure. Took just a little over an hour and was only $ 42!!! I was in shock. Every person in there were friendly, smiling and very personable. Mai listened to me when I asked her not to remove my hard earned skating calluses. Everything turned out better than expected. Overall I am extremely stoked on my experience. I will be going back to Davinas next time I come to town. I highly recommend giving them a try :)

First class from all aspects I’ve observed. Really nice chairs. Staff seems to get along very well. No drama. Hahn did my pedicure and was very good. Five Stars easily earned by this salon in my opinion.

I was visiting from out of town and was pleasantly surprised by my experience here. I got a mani pedi and my brows done and loved all three. The staff was very nice and the prices were very reasonable. It makes a difference when employees enjoy their jobs and I feel everyone did here.
Will go back for sure.

Well the staff was really nice. But I don’t like how my nails came out. The girl was really rough. And to top it all off they didn’t have a big nail polish selection.

Love the outcome of my nails, I normally don’t get pointed style nails or do I even get my nails done that often but boy was I happy with how they turned out! Took my mom also to get her nails done and she loved it! She got a salt scrub for her feet (which are super cracked and torn if I may add) and her feet came turned out being super smooth. Anyways she loved her mani and pedi just as much as I did. The owner Nancy is so nice, and asked how everything was and how I liked my nails. The lady who did my mani and pedi was sooooo nice and sweet, we talked the whole time! Will definitely be back for Sandy!
