Horrible customer service! I was asking if they had a pikachu onesie to rent out or to buy one and they said no. I proceeded to ask them if they had other similar costumes and they seemed annoyed and handed me an old ass 2 inch binder with thousands of costumes and told me to look through it. Even though I told them I was in a rush they didn’t bother helping me out. Save your money and order something online where you don’t have to deal with people that don’t bother getting up from their seat to help you out.

My 2 year old daughter went into their display area in the front entrance. She wasn’t breaking anything or causing a big ruckus, she was sitting on the couch and looking at the childrens costumes. I kept asking her to leave, but being a stubborn toddler, she would not. I couldn’t just grab her out of there because a giant hat stand was in the way. After waiting for my daughter to leave on her own and realizing that she wouldn’t, I walked in and told the lady owner what was going on. She was unbelievably rude and said in a huff, «I don’t have insurance if anything were to happen to her. You need to watch your kids.» I said, «I understand, I’m just trying to get some help to move that hat stand so I can…» She cut me off again and aggressively said, «I don’t have insurance! You need to watch your kid!» I guess her son or some kindly young man(who was obviously embarrassed by this woman’s behavior) who was also working there went right in to help me move the hat stand so I could go into the display area and pull her out. I understand that her going in there was inconvenient, but she wasn’t damaging anything and she wasn’t in danger. I couldn’t believe why this woman was acting so aggressively. I was going to buy something — a small trinket — to just show no hard feelings for the inconvenience, but she was so unbelievably rude and curt that I just told my daughter what she did was wrong, thanked the young man, and got the heck out of dodge. The other reviewers are not kidding about this woman — she is a menace to herself and I just felt terrible for the young man who tried to correct the situation. For his sake, I hope she realizes that her nasty attitude is killing her business and consequently, her livelihood.

Now called«Costume Zone», claims to have new owners who bought«Classic Costumes».However, I am not so sure after reading the last reviewt This Halloween I stepped into«Costume Zone» looking for«Classic Costumes», look for something more unique than the average party-city costume. Similarly to Mateo M., I noticed that the owner lady was too busy on her phone to help me. After trying on three costumes there was one that I had A slight interest in, I asked another worker in the store to hold on to it as I tried to search for something I felt more excited about(women get this). Anyways, I came back with 2 more costumes to try on. I was appalled when she told me this was the last time she was letting me try on costumes since it was very tiring hanging and unhanging costumes into place. As i looked at her in complete disbelief, she explained that she was very annoyed with trying tons of costumes on and constantly hanging them backup. First of all I’d like to advise the owner not to complain to costumers about other costumers(not ok). Second of all, yes retail recovery is unpleasant, but its necessary to make a sale. Don’t get in the retail business if you can’t handle it. I walked away very disappointed because I had read such great things about this store. This place has alot of potential i really hope they get their Stuff together. Yet, unless the owners become more open minded and actually care to make sale in which the costumers walks aways completely satisfied about their purchase. I highly doubt it. :(

Ya know, I’m just not feelin’ it. Not because they didn’t have the simple pre-packaged costume that I was looking for. Yeah, the one that’s all over the net and that every shop should have. No, it’s not that they’re closed on Monday(which by the way seems to be the day every costume shop is closed. Is there a Costume Shop you all follow? No, it’s because the owner(?) wouldn’t get off her personal phone call to help. She was more intent on picking her nose than assisting me as I stood there, iPhone in hand, waiting to show her the picture of the article I was looking for. No, it’s just a vibe — it’s a 2-star vibe kinda thing. Granted, once she decided to help she couldn’t understand that I was looking for something«in particular» and proceeded to tell me where else I could put together something similar, but half of her words were in ghetto-Spanish so I just left. Geeze, just because I live in the ghetto doesn’t mean I am ghetto.
