The presentation is terribly messy and sloppy, and the product is forgettable. The only reason this diabetes-inducing joint stays open is due to the lack of competition in the area.

Always worth the wait! The Persian donuts are THE best. But I wouldn’t hate a twist. Or a donut hole. Or… the whole case!

FYI, the«katrina» nuts(whatever they are called) are the same as the«regular» tatonuts, just different shape. The regular glazed is all you need, add chocolate and you may need insulin because you can easily eat a dozen…

What? You’re still waiting for the light to come on at the other place? You’ve failed!!! Get in here! Take a bite and then order another dozen!!!

I’ve only been here once and that was before I started my «alternative» lifestyle. They are donuts, yes, but they are lighter! In dough and in taste. Usually a long line but a lot of people don’t mind waiting in it. There’s not much to review, honestly. If you want a donut that won’t make you hate yourself after you eat it, eat a Tatonut Donut. Def worth stopping by!

Coast fave Tatonut! Favorite donuts are the Persian and the chocolate cake donut! A must try if you’re visiting the coast! I would call before going though sometimes they’re close I’ve shown up before and thought it was regular biz hours!

The Café du Monde of OS. Must go melt-in-your mouth donuts. If you don’t love it, you’re nuts!

Wow! An unexpected pleasure. The donuts are so light and full of flavor. The biggest problem is getting in, the lines are long with locals who know this place. If you are into pasteries and in the area amust. And the coffee is good too.

I was not a donut fan at all. I wouldn’t even go near them… until I tried these. For whatever reason, these donuts are different and so good!

Are you looking for a currency to bribe Southern children and adults alike? You need some Tatonut, my friend. Be forwarned though… if you don’t get enough to share with ALL that witness the empty box/bag(aka evidence), fights/scrappin’ are likely to occure. If I were the owner, I’d make anyone buying less than a bakers dozen sign a disclosure stating that the Tato-buyer is aware of this danger and claims all responsibility for any Southerners outburst created for said shortage of Tatonut Awesomness. Protect yourself people. Buy extra. Better a Tato go stale than to need a friend to post bail! …you heard it here first, folks ;D

Best donuts in the country. Must get the blueberry cake, strawberry cake, Persian, and chocolate twist. Pick the twists over the regular round donuts as well. Just wish they were open on Sunday and Monday.

The Tatonut is a local favorite, almost legendary, «worthy of standing in line for thirty minutes» type of donut shop. It is locally-owned, and the owners and staff are super nice, community minded people — if you want to devour your tasty donuts while supporting local business, this would be a great place to do that. Although they can get very busy, like as in «line out the door» busy, the staff is efficient and helpful. If you are fond of light, fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth type of donuts, you will love Tatonut. If you prefer an old fashioned cake donut(like me), you will still enjoy Tatonut. What you may not enjoy, is 1. their coffee; if you love a freshly roasted/ground/carefully brewed coffee, you will not have it here. Wish they’d step up the coffee game. 2. their selections; they are often sold out of many different types of donuts, depending when you go… I guess. For the best selections, you will want to prepare to go early and get in the line. Clearly there is a huge hype about this place, and it probably deserves it. I highly recommend you going if you haven’t been there. But it may not send you to donut heaven, especially if you have had a pleasure of having fresh homemade donuts from elsewhere.

I love love loveeeee their donuts! Always yum no matter what flavor! Gave them 4 stars because their coffee is mediocre. Wish they had better coffee and flavor. Their cake donuts are the best! Esp. the applesauce one!

Walked the Ocean Springs Bridge and found a line in front of this shop. Anything with a line outside is worth stopping for. So glad we did. The BEST donuts that I have ever had in my life! Their glazed tato-nuts are so good! The devil’s food was so moist and chocolatey. Can’t wait to go back and try other flavors. I hear the blueberry is the bomb

Potato flour, deep fried… Doughnuts from out of this world! The shop is small and quaint and there’s not much room to sit… but who cares? I’d stand on my head on the sidewalk and eat them because they’re that good! Of course… it IS just as easy, to get them to go, too. Eat more DOUGHNUTS!

Tato-Nut is an absolute gem of a local business. When you think of Ocean Springs, you think of Tato-Nut. Born and raised in OS, I actually worked at Tato-Nut in high school. You would think while working in a doughnut shop and thereafter, I would never want another doughnut again. Wrong. I remember dreaming about these doughnuts(and still do), eagerly looking forward to sinking my teeth into one(and still do). I always stop by when visiting my folks. I’m a fan of their Persians(think sugary glazed cinnamon bun), but all their doughnuts are stellar. I also love the blueberry cakes. They are a family-owned and operated business, so you really do benefit from that local community vibe. Often times, the lines are out the door in the morning. And, it’s nothing unusual for them to sell out quickly. One time, I wanted them so badly, a friend of mine had her friend living in OS ship me a box. It was such a great surprise to have a delicious memory of home here in VA. Tato-Nut is a must stop for anyone visiting the area. Trust me, it’s the only doughnut you need to have while in town!

ZOMG! Tato-Nut you must Nom! Nom!Nom! You have never had Tato Nut? Me: No. You! Have! Never! Had! Tato! Nut! Me: I just said no. You do not know what you are missing. They are sooooooo good. That is all I hear from locals for years gibe or take a few word changes. It is a small, good donut shop. No! ore. No less. I enjoyed the different tasting donuts, but do not feel a part of my soul has been made whole as I was made to expect. A step up from Win Dixie deli donuts. About the same as fresh Krispy Kreme. If you want a friendly, small donut/coffee shop open a few mornings a week. Good choice. And they sell bagged ice. They got that going for em over every other donut shop I have been to.

I have been hearing about this place for two years now. My friend worked here in high school and oddly my friend from Nashville now lives close to it. When I visited I HAD to stop. It was as glorious as had been described. The donuts were soft, hot and so good. We each had two :0 and some coffee. I need more Tato-Nut!
