When my uncle chose this restaurant for lunch I was so disappointed. Italian food is not my favorite cuisine and I was just not feeling like having lunch here. So please, take this review with a grain of salt. If you like Italian food I’m sure this place has tons to offer you. For an appetizer we had the fried green tomatoes. They supposedly came with crab on top but there was barely enough to split it among the tomatoes. That was pretty disappointing. The tomatoes themselves were not bad, they were a little eggy for my tastes but still good. After stressing over an entrée for a while(I sort of wanted a steak but it was a bit early in the day for that) I settled on the gnocchi. I think it was a new addition to the menu. It came with bolognese. It was a big serving and I liked that it had cheese totally covering the top. It was toasted and bubbly so that was nice. The gnocchi with bolognese wasn’t bad but it was pretty one noted once you had taken a few bites. I sent most of the leftovers home with my uncle. Al Fresco’s isn’t bad, it’s just not as great as it could be. I will say though, the outside patio is really lovely.
