This by far beats the ocean isle inn breakfast. We needed a change of pace so we headed over to the OIB pier for breakfast. The prices are fantastic. I ordered the biscuit and gravy with a side of sausage and coffee for $ 8.00. The biscuit and gravy was phenomenal and the portion was large. The side of sausage was okay, it was a little hard which is why I gave four stars. It tasted like something you’d overheat in the microwave. The coffee was great too. My mom got the platter and substituted grits for hash browns(Ohio thing.) and hers cost only $ 7.50. Hers was delicious. The bacon was awesome and the eggs were great. The service was fast and the workers and hard working. The women who run the front are very friendly and patient. The seating is nice and clean and there are plenty of places to choose to sit. The breakfast ends at 11 am then lunch starts until 2:00 pm. Another reason why it scored four stars with me is because we usually eat a late lunch. 3 – 4:00 pm and they are closed then. They are right next door to the ocean isle inn and you can just walk there. They also have a little store in the same building where you can pay $ 1.00 to walk to the pier and fish! I highly suggest this place!

Beats the fast food places hands down! You can have a real home-cooked breakfast cooked by friendly Southern ladies, then enjoy strolling along the fishing pier, and they also serve throughout the day. The pier grille doubles as bait shop and game room, fun for the whole family. Spotless and air-conditioned. Prices are ridiculously cheap, portions perfect. The stand-out here is the link breakfast sausage, North Carolina made by Pender’s, truly outstanding.

I love it here. So peaceful. I wish I could of tried the food. But just the walk up and down the pier brings back so many childhood memories. I love it. Ocean Isle will always be home to me.

Great fun. Safe place to fish out past the surf. Unattended teens were the only bummer.

Don’t even know where to begin this one GOHERE for lunch!!! Ever wonder why all the work trucks are parked here at noon? Because they know where to get a home cooked meal that tastes incredible and is dirt cheap! Do not skip this place. Call on Thursday and ask if they have fried chicken. If they do, RUN there and order the lunch special. You will skip dinner

The only pier on Ocean Isle and $ 1 to walk it. It’s nothing that you haven’t seen before and a good spot for fishing. I didn’t try the food located at the grill, but if you’re in need of water or snacks directly off the beach, this is a convenient spot. The arcade attached to the pier is very run down and I counted five games that were«out of order». Out of the other games, they’re rundown and aren’t that desirable. Several cheap«claw» games, skee ball & air hockey(both broken on my visit), fuzzball and a couple pool tables. I wouldn’t recommend going out of your way to venture here, but honestly, there’s not much directly in Ocean Isle, so you will probably find your way here at least once, if only to get a Sunset Slush located at the end of the building. As far as arcades, I’d recommend going next door to Breakers, much better selection and entertainment for the beach arcade. Also, NOBATHROOMS here unless you you pay $ 1 to go out to the pier. Little hint though, Breakers Arcade next door has free bathrooms!

Went here for lunch one afternoon last weekend. Was hoping to find a light bite to eat before a big dinner. Had a really yummy BLT(sans T) and it hit the spot. Very affordable too. We ordered and then ate in our hotel room but there were a few people eating there. For a cheap quick fresh bite it hit all my marks. Nothing fancy but did the job. Everyone was pleased.

Frozen hash brown patties, frozen sausage. Nice people but cheap, pre-made food. If looking for a southern small restaurant dining experience look elsewhere.

Great staff. Prices are a little steep but they are for all day and no one bothers you. Its easy to sit out on the pier all day and just enjoy yourself and if you want to make conversation, people are pretty friendly. They make repairs every year and I have to say it stays in great shape. There are also bathrooms on the pier that are always extremely clean. It really impresses me! There are cutting boards, benches, and a sink area. The end of the pier is king-fishing only and this season they added a little«boundary wall» to designate the end of the pier. Very well lit at night and they are open pretty late during the season. You can buy snacks, pizza, and ice cream inside. You can also rent equipment. The passes are weekly, seasonal, or daily. And the pricing is per pole. I think the price to just walk out is ONLY a dollar, but its worth it for a lovely view and experience.

This is a cool little pier with a great place to get some breakfast. The only downfall is that it costs $ 5 to park and a $ 1 to walk on the pier. They have recently added a Sunset Slush(Italian Ice) store which is one of the best ways to cool down in OIB on a hot summer day.

Paying $$ to walk to the end of a pier is the stupidest thing ever, and that’s coming from someone who pays tolls just to get out of this lovely city I live in… That said, go to the beach and walk under it. That’s the glorious part. Great photo spot.

I got to enjoy this place again at my annual OIB trip this year in July. It’s still as good as I remember each trip. With the good crowd that comes in for breakfast time, I’m not alone in this thought. Most everyone in my group likes the bacon(or sausage), egg, and cheese sandwiches. It’s good to get for take out back to the beachhouse. If you are staying there for dining, I recommend one of the omelets… mine is usually sausage and cheese. If you are dining in or just waiting for take out, I suggest getting a table near the counter on the end, near the windows so you can watch all the traffic coming off/on the Odell Williamson Bridge and enjoy the view(see pic). For lunch time, can’t go wrong with the hamburgers/hot dogs/corn dogs, and great fries. Again, it’s not the healthiest or fanciest gig in town, but one of the tastiest and enjoyable.

Holy awesome night fishing! I saw some kids catching 3 foot sharks at 10PM! What a sight during one night’s stroll! Access is cheap and it’s not crowded like other piers. Good way to spend a day/night if you wanna fish but don’t want to shell out $ 100+ to fish at Calabash down the road.
