The Dr.‘s office DID NOT call the correct telephone number for my insurance. So the number she did call said «we don’t have anyone by that name in our system». She proceeded to charge me over $ 200. cash/​check for my office visit! I was so outraged and dumbfounded. I neglected to ask for a receipt (she never offered me one). I made a follow up appt to go over results of pap and blood work. I was charged another $ 150. Never have I paid for a follow up!!! This all happened in August. I have had many, many, many conversations w/​the individual wanting to know why she wouldn’t re submit my claim since she called the wrong number. My services are 100% covered! I also have to this day NEVER received a receipt. Gave her my address (don’t live in NJ any longer) at least 4 times. And at the end of all this, I had uterine cancer and had to have a total hysterectomy.
This person is in the wrong field. You should have compassion and want to help people if you are in the health field.
