The Spice & Tea Exchange of Ocean City

Like Teavana meets Penzey’s…lots of great stuff! Prices are high, but not higher than comparable specialty stores, and you definitely get a better quality than supermarket spices. The store is very easy to shop because you can smell or taste anything you want, and the staff is very knowledgable and friendly.

This place is super amazing! Great atmosphere and I’m treated extremely well by employees who seem to care a lot about their level of customer service. TOP NOTCH PRODUCT! Keep it up, customer for life.

We were here in Novemeber 2015 and it was one of the few places that was open. My wife and daughter love spices, so this was right up their alley. The lady working there was extremely knowledgeable and we had her to ourselves.
They had a huge selection to choose from and it was cool to see people coming in for spice recommendations for their Thanksgiving turkey. We must have spent at least an hour just opening jars and sampling the smells. My daughter wants a mortar and pestle, and they have those in stock also.
We ended up leaving with an entire bag of stuff that we weren’t expecting. I think this is a great place for gift shopping and for those that have diets that cant have sugar or salt.
Overall, great ambience, superior customer service and reasonable prices. If back at the Ocean, I am sure that my wife will drag me back here.

What a cool spot and unique shopping experience. I stopped by The Spice & Tea Exchange of Ocean City while on vacation and was pleasantly surprised by how different it was from all the other tourist spots. The spice and tea sold here appears to be of very high quality, since everything I smelled and tasted was extremely potent. It was an adventure to smell all the different spices and the teas as well, letting my nose pick out my purchase, which is something most stores unfortunately don’t let you do — but this shop is set up specifically for that experience. The Spice & Tea Exchange also has flavored sugars, an arrangement of flavored peppers and salts, including different forms of Himalayan rock salt, and cheese powders. The diverse selection is impressive. I tried the coconut sugar and it was delicious, I imagine these sugars would make a wonderful addition to their prepared teas but also to baked goods and coffee. I purchased the Emperor’s Chai tea based on the incredibly powerful, attractive smell of the tea. It was $ 5.89 for 1 oz. The shop also carries honey in various forms and honey stirring sticks. I also saw whole nutmeg, several species of cinnamon, and whole vanilla bean in the pod. While the shop did not appear to carry tea pots, there were showy mortal and pestle displays for sale. The Spice & Tea Exchange of Ocean City is a real gem for culinary enthusiasts and cooks.

Terrific spice company. It is a franchise or I’d give it a 5. Yana, the inventory manager, was the manager the day I went and she is tremendously knowledgeable. A little pricey, but you are at the beach
Need a gift, a great spot to grab rubs and spices should you want to cook at home or gifts for someone.
