We went to walk the boardwalk yesterday and to get pizza at Primos and found out they had closed the previous Friday. Closed not for the season but for good. We were very upset to see this because this was by far our favorite place to eat on the boardwalk. Sorry to see you go Walt.

There was no one In here on a Friday afternoon in August should’ve Been a hint. Way undercooked pizza with gross canned mushrooms and raw onions and peppers. Boring menu, no frllls service. I wonder what award they supposedly won?? its always dead. don’t bother, just wait in line at another place.

On a recommendation, I took a walk to Primo’s, passing by several other beachfront pizza places to try a slice or two. It was a hot day and I had worked up an appetite so I had two and a Snapple. I found a seat at the bar, and tried the white and the red. Ate the white first and it was great. Nice and garlicky, with the crust just the right amount of thin. Sometimes thin crust can be too thin and crunchy. This was perfect. After wolfing down the white slice I bore down on the red. It was good, but after the garlicky white, the red tasted a bit bland in comparison. Slices were $ 2.75 each and the Snapple and $ 2.25. Not cheap, but not Boardwalk robbery, either. A bit of a surcharge is to be expected for the right to dine seaside, no? The restaurant is pretty spacious for a boardwalk sit-down pizzeria. Oh, and if you happen to be into beauty pageant girls, there are autographed headshots all over the restaurant.

Primo consistently serves the best pizza in Ocean City. Despite my great respect for the pizza available at Manco and Manco, the quality of a Primo pizza is unsurpassed. The crust has just the right level of crispiness complemented by a fresh, tangy sauce which combine to create the perfect pizza. The service is also also always prompt and professional. It is a five star pizza experience all around! Great job!

The pizza is okay at best. If you’re use to good Philly or NY pizza, you will be disappointed here. It’s fine in a pinch but the boardwalk must have better places. On the positive side, it’s super clean and the staff is friendly. Bottom line– if you’re looking for the best slice on the boardwalk, this isn’t the place.

They do one thing and do it well, pizza. Get a pie and enjoy the crunch of the crust and tang of the sauce.

Forget the other popular place that everyone stands in line for hours, this place is truly Ocean City! The pizza is thin and crispy, and delicious! The décor inside is very nostalgic, we have been taking our kids for the past ten years and never had anything but an awesome experience!!! The prices are so reasonable, you can get a pizza and drinks for four and only spend around 20 bucks, can’t do that at any other pizzeria on the boardwalk. They don’t have anything but pizza on the menu, but they don’t mind if you bring in fries from the fry place right next door. One of our favorite traditions is eating at Primos on the boardwalk! Thanks for all the great memories Primos!!!

The best word I can think of for the pizza is «meh». It’s not terrible really, it’s just not that great. I would have given it another star if I had actually been served hot pizza. Average pizza at boardwalk prices. On the service side, I think we had a server. It was rumored that she had been spotted taking our order and then once more to drop it off. It was a service version of a hit and run. Had I mentioned Meh?

My family is all Ocean City locals, I am not. I have been a Mack and Manco regular my whole life, based on my mom’s recommendation. This season, I decided to also try Primo’s, based on my cousins’ recommendation. I was deeply unimpressed with the pizza here. It wasn’t in the thin crust, bold sauce Jersey shore style that you will find at M&Ms or Preps. You get the generic local pizzeria style that was ubiquitous before the artisan pizza boom that hit the state recently. Just about everything on the pizza was bland, from the crust to the cheese. The only good thing I can say about the pizza is it is considerably cheaper than the other big boys on the boardwalk. If I had to sum up the pizza in two words, it would be «nothing special» After relating to my cousins that I tried Primo’s based on their recommendation, they advised that they eat there because they have an awesome deal for fellow boardwalk employees, not because it was good. Silly me.

This place is great! Came here last year after walking by M&M with a monstrous wait. The pizza was fresh and not too cheesy. The perfect balance of sauce and cheese. The crust thin just the way I Iike it. Came here again this year and it did not disappoint. They only serve pizza. It’s a typical NJ pizza joint. Don’t expect a 5 star sit down experience with servers waiting on you hand and foot if that’s what you’re looking for… All I wanted was yummy pizza with thin crispy crust and that’s what they serve!

My favorite boardwalk pizza they actually put cheese on their pizza it’s not a sauce pie with a spiral of cheese on it. And their white pizza is delicious its not caked on cheese atop crust. It’s tasty we’ll made pizza :)

We ate here during the Air Show and the pizza is not really all that different from the slop that is served at M&M. The only real difference is that at M&M the service is always very rude and very pushy to try and get the table turned and get you out the door. The large pizza at Primo, just like at M&M, is a ripoff at $ 17 and if dare order water you get the death stare from your server that you did not order the overpriced soda. The only real difference between the two is that the service at Primo is almost lackadaisical in that after your food and check come together your server is basically done with you and if need anything else you might as well shoot off a flare to get someones attention. Unlike at M&M where after you take your first bite they are already asking you if you want a box for the rest. Also the pizza at Primo is not fresh and made to order just like at M&M. If you order a large cheese you get what is already made and sitting out for what could be two minutes or it could be twenty minutes. The pizza we got served was sitting out when we walked in. After we ordered our server walked over picked it up and brought it over and we were eating in under three minutes. Good if you’re hungry and don’t care, bad if you want a hot and fresh pie. All in all Primo is a dud and there is better pizza on the OC Boardwalk. You just have to search for it.

Primo’s is my favorite pizza around. Their sausage pizza is SO good! For a treat hop over to Somers Point to their location on shore road they have a much larger menu. Try the pepperoni and sausage stromboli– yum!

I was looking for the high cholesterol/junk food hit on Sunday afternoon when I came across Primo’s Pizza on the OC boardwalk. You can forget about healthy food on the boardwalk. It is a grease festival. I figured I should splurge on the healthiest food available, pizza and pretzels. I knew I could take a couple Liptor shots when I got back to the house to undo what I had done to my arteries. This pizza establishment is known to have good east coast, deck oven, thin crust pizza. Their Somers Point location has a sign out front stating they were voted to have the best pizza on the Jersey Shore. So how can I go wrong? I ordered the pepperoni and found the crust, cheese and sauce to be excellent. The crust was perfectly done and had that nice crunch. The sauce was really good and had a little spice kick to it. Excellent junk food experience and I will be back for more. Very good cholesterol/price value relationship.

Grabbed a quick slice of pizza here and thought it was fine. We normally patronize Mac and Manco’s, but we didn’t have any cash on us and needed a place that took debit. Sat at the counter and the service, while not effusively friendly, was not bad. We had our pizza within minutes of ordering it. Slices were a little dryish, but edible. Overall, nothing particularly spectacular here, but pizza was decent and I was very grateful to find a pizza place on the Boardwalk that took debit. Total check, 4 slices of pizza and 2 medium drinks: $ 15. Not bad.
