Ate here again twice while I was at the beach this year! Still the best crabs I’ve had. We tried their frozen Mango Margarita and it was delicious. We also loved playing the hook game they have at the bar — its really hard! This has become one of my favorite places in OCMD. Just a chill, no frills place with great food and great people.

Decent seafood for slightly more expensive than I was expecting definitely better crab and seafood options to try around here. the teenage staff seems really uninterested in helping or even being there.

Having a place on the north end of OC, I usually don’t wander down this end of OC due to traffic. However, Friday night we picked up carry out crabs from OCM. I can honestly say these were the best crabs I have had in a long time !We l love Crab Bag but will be back to OCM again soon.

The experience here was horrible. The manager on July 3′ 2014 was horrible. I will not go here again.

We finally had time to stop by the new location on 71st street, it opened about 3 weeks ago. We got the $ 75 ½ bushel special and the crabs were great. Everyone there including the cook were very nice and spent time talking with us about the business. I now do not have to call around for crabs anymore.

Four of us went here on Oct. 5. I had eaten here about three-years prior when the place also had the location where Rosenfeld’s Deli is now. At that time, AYCE crabs and corn on the cob was about $ 20. The crabs were a decent size and full, and the service was good. OCM now occupies a small building behind Rosenfeld’s and all their picnic benches for eating is outside. On this most recent visit it was very difficult to find anything positive to write about. Only thing that was good was the friendly waitress, who happens to be the same that waited on me the first time I ate here. They served 12 ounces cups of draft beer for $ 3. Come on, 16 ounces is the standard. Even though it was a super weather day, and a Saturday, we were told they didn’t have any of the salads or corn on the cob. When the crabs came out — they are freshly steamed — they were a nice size, but were what I call Jenny Craig crabs, big shell with absolutely no meat inside. I mean you could put your fingers through the shell of the crab with little effort. I know it’s all you can eat, but you could open a dozen of the crabs we had that day and not come out with 3 ounces of meat. We said something to the waitresses and she did bring us out some smaller, but fuller, crabs for our last batch. On this day it appeared as if the business was just going through the motion. No salads. No corn. Picking house crabs. It was bad. Price now is $ 25 for AYCE crabs and corn, which they didn’t have. Sadly, it was a good experience that brought me back the second time, and it’s the bad experience we had on the second visit that may prevent us from returning a third. This is what causes businesses to go out of business. Crabs, so we hear, are supposed to be their fullest and demand for crabs drops in October. You wouldn’t know it by the quality of crab we received that day.

Okay where do I begin? Upon arriving in OC my first night the 1st place I stopped was OCMCRABS. my first 2 years here were the best crabs I ever had in my life. I don’t know if they have fallen on hard times or what. But I definitely will look for a different crab house next time

This is my 2nd crab review today and I can’t believe I didn’t make a South Park Crab People joke yet! Taste like crab, talk like people: CRABPEOPLE. Okay…had to get that out of my system. Onward! OCM was recommended to me by a friend that is from Maryland and is a crab expert so I definitely had high expectations going in. OCM did not disappoint! OCM epitomizes«crab shack.» It’s a small place with maybe 5 – 6 benches inside — it doesn’t mess around with environment or a diverse menu(which is basically a small piece of paper), it focuses on the good stuff: CRAB. If anything, the place is kind of tough! When we first walked in, we definitely got looks from everyone already in there. Tourists stumbling onto a local place perhaps? It also has a cool way of marking off reservations — they just scribble in large print on the long, brown dining paper«RESERVEDFORMIKE» which was a fun way of being introduced to OCM. Simply enough, the crabs are great. They are delivered fresh daily and what distinguishes OCM from other spots is that they are cooked IMMEDIATELY upon order whereas some other places have them precooked so they aren’t as hot when they get to your table. At OCM, when your crabs are served they are piping hot and offer maximum flavor and satisfaction! The meat is incredibly soft and flavorful. Furthermore, their«large» crabs are 6 — 6.5 inches and much bigger than the«large» crabs at other locations. There is nothing more satisfying than picking off massive chunks of crab when you split them open. More time eating big hunks of crab and less time picking through shell! The wait staff is also very cool/spunky and have that no nonsense attitude that translates into fast, no nonsense service. They also recommended a great ice cream place nearby for dessert which was a great bonus. It was definitely a unique and TASTY experience and will happily add OCM to my rotation of crab shacks to visit when I go to Ocean City.

We visited 3 times. The first was«crabs and beer for lunch» and it was excellent. The second was«crab and beer for dinner» which was aleso excellent, but sitting outside can be challenging with the mosquitoes… but we powered through it(and used bug spray)…the third time was to get a late breakfast to go for the drive to DC. It was excellent. The crab(get them topless!!! it is worth the 2 dollars or whatever they charge. The crab are super fresh, I learned they are delivered every morning. They were fat and delicious and perfectly seasoned. The best I have ever had in fact. The BREAKFAST was surprisingly good. I had a BLT, my girl had a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich — they were both on toasted white bread and they were both fantastic. I know this sounds crazy, but she said it was possibly the best breakfast sandwich she has ever had. Let’s just say it was awesome. The wait staff are super cool, super friendly and you don’t feel like you are being rushed. It is almost like you are being invited into someones home. Try it. Will definiltley go back when we are in town next summer.

This was the strangest, most frustrating dining experience I’ve ever had!!! Our party of 14 came here hungry and wanting to dig in to some crabs. We ended up having to switch tables because our table wasn’t big enough. Then we had to wait 1 hr to get our crabs. To make things worse, the menu said AYCE ended at 10pm so we were pissed and everyone was about to stab a b**ch. Our waitress was no where to be found and we had to refill our drinks and get the mallets by ourselves. Yet the menu said 18% gratuity will be charged! Are you kidding me? Right about now my head was boiling, not just because of the poor service, but the room was humid as hell. So when we finally get our crabs, it was just two plate fulls that everyone devoured in 10 min. It wasn’t a steady flow of crabs, more like eat, wait 20 min for more crabs, eat, wait again. It was just ridiculous. They must have tiny ass pots cookin crabs in the back. This place only gets 3 stars because the crabs were pretty good and meaty. Otherwise, 1 star for service. I will never come back here.

Though the crab here was good… I did not enjoy my experience at OCM Crabs. We decided to go to OCM because we were a large group and there wasn’t many places where we could be accommodated at peak dinner time. The first of the group arrived and we ordered at All-You-Can-Eat crab. We asked if we could start eating right away because we weren’t sure how long the rest of the group would be. An HOUR later… the whole group had arrived, ordered, and we were still waiting… finally we were brought out some crabs. We were hungry, sitting inside(where it was VERY hot, not recommended, and almost never saw our waitress. If you’re sitting inside, expect that you’re going to be mostly self-service. That’s not so bad, except that we still had to pay the 18% gratuity. In my opinion, a place that offers all-you-can eat should be able to serve enough food to maintain the demand of the number of people they are capable of seating. If I’m going to pay for all-I-can-eat, I want more crabs on the table before I’m done with the first batch. To give the restaurant fair credit though… Our waitress was friendly for the most part, and the crabs were good. Side note… they’ll charge you 18% if you’re 4 or more. A tad bit ridiculous if you ask me!

Im a veteran crab eater and Ocean City regular. This week my family went out for AYCE crabs 3 times in 5 days. first at Crab Alley, then On the Bay then OCM Crabs. All were good for families with kids, however hands down OCM crabs had the best crabs!!! At OCM crabs very crab was packed and served hot! I cant tell ya how much we enjoyed ourselves and really appreciated the service and quality of the food. My kids ate steamed shrimp as well and they were terrific, peeled easily. We sat outside at the picnic tables in the sand where they also provide sand toys for the kids to play with… this feature allowed us to easily prolong our feast to another dozen or so crabs while they played. I have eaten at Hoopers and Higgins as well in the past year and they don’t compare. For a great environment and atmosphere plus great service and perfect steamed maryland crabs go here… OCM Crabs!
