Lunch only review. Tried the Tuscan panini special. Bland and chicken was dry. The burger was typical. The meatball sliders were pretty good. Overall disappointed especially since it was highly recommended. Service was friendly and attentive.

was all ready to give a 5 star review until I saw on facebook MANY people writing aboutbeing double, even triple charged on their credit card. So, I pulled up my credit card and sure enough I was also charged more. Our meal was $ 90.68 and it was fabulous. No tip on the card paid that cash as per their request. They also charged my credit card $ 49.59 without authorization!!! I am disputing the charge and I have also let the Ocean City Police know. Very sad they are doing this… greed!!!

This restaurant is so good! The staff is so friendly and caring. The food was delicious and quick! Highly recommend it!

Located right on the boardwalk, everyone was nice & friendly. I had Nona’s meatballs it felt like I was eating Sunday dinner with my family, was simply delicious !! I am only giving it 3 stars because, our waiter rushed us, he literally was at our table every 5 minutes. Honestly that was the only reason we never went back during the rest of our trip.

OK, so it was our first night in The O.C., and we just wanted a little bit more for our first meal than some take out.
Ocean Café fit the bill.
We almost walked out when we saw the menu, because we have two young boys who do not eat pasta. Our oldest will eat pizza, but the little guy pretty much only will eat grilled cheese. This is a no-​judgment zone, right Unilocal?
Anyway, we apologized while leaving and the hostess told us grilled cheese was on the lunch menu and they would gladly whip one up for the kid.
I had lasagna (not bad at all — I was expecting Olive Garden quality and it was much better), while my wife was very ambitious and ordered gnocchi. That was too ambitious.
I had need warned that boardwalk pizza was overrated, but I had a bite of my son’s giant slice and thought it was pretty good. Our grilled cheese came with fries and was on whole wheat toast. Pretty good.
The bread basket they brought out had what tasted to me like crappy stale focaccia, though I may be a focaccia snob.
The service was friendly and prompt. Bill was $ 45 plus tip for all of the above. We all drank Ocean City’s finest water.
This was not five star Italian, but for beach food was definitely acceptable.

Update — It’s been over a week and the owner has not refunded the money –accidentally taken out of our account. I thought by now I would be able to write an update saying it was resolved and they apologized. Not yet. Seriously, do not even think about going there. I wish the owner would return my husband’s calls.

We had the strangest waiter I’ve ever encountered. After our waiter Ron took our drink order, he says to my brother «You should put your cell phone away and be a better example to your children, at the table». Little does he know is that one of his children has juvenile diabetes, in which she wears a device that routinely checks her blood sugar throughout the day and transmits this information to an app on his cell phone. He was simply checking her blood sugar so he could order her a meal. Regardless as to why he was looking at his cell phone, who is Ron the waiter to say something to a customer or to anyone for that matter?

Not terrible, not bad, just OK. It’s the Boardwalk and so yes, the prices will be more. While the prices are higher they did skimp on the servings. Positives are the wait staff, Anthony was very attentive to our needs. He did a good job. The coffee was weak and it would be nice to close the doors and turn on the AC.

On a positive note, the place is clean and well appointed with photos of historic Ocean City. It even smells clean. The food came out very fast and the service was good. The food was so so. The complementary focaccia seemed a bit stale. I got the Italian Flatbread, which again was just so so and very salty. It did have a lot of mozzarella on it though, so it did have that going for it at least. For the prices, I’d expect better.

I went here today and wished I had read the reviews before coming. The food is very expensive for basic Italian dishes that are just mediocre. Not only was the food not impressive but the service was terrible. Nickel and dimed for everything and watch out the wait service tries to scam you. When confronted about scam was told there was no manger working on a Friday evening and to come back tomorrow regarding the situation. Will update you with what happens.

We Were SCAMMED!
My family of 13 and I went in last night and the waitress told us they don’t serve tap water only bottled water. I was a waiter for 7 years, she was doing this so we’d buy drinks but we believed her. We found out after paying that this was a lie. We tried to complain to a manager only to find THAT THERE WASNT ONE.
We came back the next day and spoke with owner. It took a while but she ultimately made good and settled our issue.

Service super quick and super friendly. That’s about all they have going for them. Mediocre food at best at an astronomical price. I understand boardwalk food is overpriced trust me I’ve been coming to the boardwalk for almost 40 years but this is just highway robbery. I had the special of the day which was a Mediteranian salad with shrimp and lump crab and I could hardly find either. For $ 18 it should’ve been flowing off my plate. The lemon dressing was just weird and didn’t go with the salad. My kids had overpriced chicken fingers and French fries and the hubs had a wrap that was less than spectacular and very small. Will not go back.

The food was bland and unimpressive for the high price. The garden salad with the entrée was sad looking, and very small. I ordered gnocchi bolognese and the dish had no taste, and no salt. The salt shaker on the table was clogged and when I asked the waitress for a new shaker she told me that shakers on the beach get clogged. She then asked if I removed the lid, to get salt out. She proceeded to unscew the shaker lid to only find a hard lump of crystallized salt. She finally switched out the shaker with one from another table. Also the bread that comes with the meal was a bit dry for Focaccia bread, and we had to ask for butter or olive oil. If you’re hungry on the boardwalk do not stop by here, you’ll be more satisfied with getting French fries from a stand.
