Hoy’s Five & Ten

Great little shore store that has a variety of items you could ever ask for. Beach items, toiletries, shirts, belts, hats, novelty items, etc. they have it covered. I always pick up new pull-over’s for the kiddies (and sometimes for myself and the wifey). It’s a neat little store thats probably been here faeva.

Hoy’s has been a shore staple for as long as I can remember, and for good reason, because they have EVERYTHING you could possibly need under one roof. Bathing suits, sunblock, waffle balls, puzzles for rainy days, linens, they have it all. And while you would expect to pay very inflated prices since you are on an island, and you obviously forgot your sunblock and need it, the prices aren’t bad. My husband got a sand grabber thing to prevent his beach umbrella from turning into a projectile impaling device, and paid $ 14. Later on we found the same thing on the boardwalk for $ 18. Not bad.
The ladies who work here are lovely. I also like how they have two counters to expedite the checkout process.
